What extras should I receive when new ?

Hi All,
To all that have bought new 5th gen 4Runners. What came with new vehicle ?
1) owners manual
2) trailer wire plug ?
3) Cargo net ?
4) ball mount ?
5) spare tire tool kit / jack
6) What am i missing ?

Getting ready to pick up my new truck and want to make sure I get all that comes from factory.I figure the Best time to make sure is before delivery.So I need some help.
Note : I also plan on having the personal settings or features customized.(got the list off the site)

I got the cargo net and ball mount with mine. Not sure if that's a TE difference or Canadian thing though.

Edit: Unless they changed something you should also get the roof rack crossbars and mounting hardware standard with a TE.
 
I got just ball mount and wires for trailer (brake controller?). Of course I got spare tire, owner manual and jack, but I think it's standard for all vehicles. Option came with my Upgrade package was trunk tonneau. Didn't get neither cargo net nor crossbars, but I have SR5 and it was over 2 years ago.
 
Here's a list of things NOT to get....
ECO Package
Stone chip guards
Dealer installed running boards
Nitrogen tire inflation
Paint protection

Pretty much anything they trying to sell you on top of the base vehicle can be had aftermarket for less than half of what the dealer charges.

If you are set on getting an extended warranty, remember the price is negotable. The dealership finance manager was trying to get me to purchase one and knocked 30% off before I finally told them no.

Should have been more clear. Looking for the items that come with the vehicle as standard equipment that the factory puts inside the truck at no extra charge.
So just

Trailer plug

Anyone gat a Toyota hitch cap ?

Ironically you're not that far from the truth. I found cheapest hitch cap for $5 on amazon. Toyota sells roughly 45,000 5th gens a year for 3 years. So savings are $675,000, will be over a million in another two years : ) You could probably say that cap would be cheaper as an OEM part, but it still looks like Toyota will save at least a million during 5th gen life.
 
Full tank of gas was on my window sticker.
Clear vinyl paint protection on rocker panels and door handle area I believe is factory.
Make sure your OM, warranty book, etc, comes in a satchel/organizer. I've heard these can go missing.
Makes sure you get all of your keys! 2 remotes and one valet, IIRC.
I got Roof rails, tie down anchors, trailer pigtails, floor matts, cargo matt, and cargo net included on my TE.
Nitrogen, pinstripes, door edge protection, dealer stickers, license plate frames, and hitch cap were free after I told them to delete.
Free holes in front bumper too!!!

On a TE you should also get the roof rack crossbars and associated hardware standard.

I picked up the rubber Toyota hitch cap for $6.75 at the parts department.

That would be true if it cost Toyota $5/hitch cap to make them. Since it's formed rubber/plastic it probably costs very little to make, especially since it fits receivers on a bunch of Toyota vehicles from a number of model years. So probably not saving tons of money, bur rather generating tons of money because we go and buy them at an inflated price.

Well we don't know it for sure, but I think that Toyota wouldn't put a complete piece of crap in a vehicle, so it got to be made from good plastic, probably not in China, should withstand wide range of temperatures, so it's not too loose or too tight. I think it's still cost at least couple of bucks for a quality thing. And if they put hitch cap in every Toyota vehicle with hitch - it's would be over million dollars for sure in a few years. For some reason Toyta gave us hitch ball mount though, although hitch cap would be less expensive. Ford didn't give anyhting for hitch on my Ford with hitch, but gave me trailer wiring for minivan with no hitch. It would be interesting to know what are they reasons for including or excluding stuff but I guess we will never know it for sure : )
 
What comes with vehicle

Toyota and also Lexus does not offer wheel locks anymore as standard equipment or as an option included in the MSRP sticker. Most people are not going to steal factory rims anyhow and it is easy to misplace the key or have some guy at a tire shop to strip it out by over torquing.

I was impressed that the receiver hitch was standard, and not part of a tow package as it seems every other manufacturer does. It made it easy to not have to worry if the vehicle had it or not. I do wish the connector for the trailer lights was mounted up next to the hitch like other models, instead of down under the bumper... but if that was the trade-off I guess I'll live :)
