What happened to T4ROTM?

Hello all! Rorck has been on the side of my browser for far too long! His reign as T4ROTM has lasted nearly two months... this cannot stand.

Who will stand up!? Who will take the TORCH!?!

the only reason i like the T4ROTM selection is because i get to check out other people's rigs i haven't seen yet. I see mine all the time! and if you consider cranked T-bars, a tube front bumper with an empty winch mount, and rust impressive then i accept your nomination.

The last few times we've held it it hasn't had much interest. That's likely why. I think I also recall gaterose saying he wasn't as active here anymore so it was hard for him to do it. Our sponsors use to give free items to the winners but that seemed to fizzle out as well.

I don't think there needs to be a prize, bragging rights is enough. It was always cool seeing different trucks get showcased. I don't have time to go digging through every build thread so it was a nice way to see people's favorite rigs.

I was considering taking T4ROTM over, but have felt slighted ever since my second T4ROTM win (a different rig than the first). Never really cared about the prizes since that wasn't always a part of T4ROTM. I liked the recognition aspect.

The sidebar is what pissed me off. My truck was up there for not even two weeks. Most of the month showed the previous winner (his rig was up for near two months). Seemed most people didn't give a damn I was upset, even gave me shit when I said something. That was lame as hell.

It's cool that my truck finally won the vote, but I had the expectation of being on the sidebar for a month like every previous winner. Thus, I lost interest and haven't voted in a single poll since March.

If I could control the sidebar, I'd probably handle the whole T4ROTM, but moderators do not have that privilege. Admin isn't active enough to make the necessary updates.

Sorry guys, I have been busy with life and spending less and less time on the forum. At one point there were a few guys alternating T4ROTM then at some point everyone gave up but me. So I asked if others wanted to help and got a few months help but then it slowly went back to just me again. I asked for help again a few months ago but didn't get any responses this time.

It seems like people get disillusioned with the contest because of the way the voting goes or handling of prizes or the sidebar or whatever reason and decide not to be a part of it anymore :violin::crybaby:

T4ROTM isn't limited to being run by me or any other select individuals. Anyone who is an active member and wants to see a T4ROTM poll just has to post a thread then check in to make updates when needed. That's how I got the gig and essentially how it was re-birthed by TRDCal

Also, regarding the disappearance of the prizes - instead of complaining about them going away we should be thanking Bobby (aka ducmonsta) for making those months so exciting by arranging prizes for the winner.

If someone really wanted the prizes back I'm sure they could do the same negotiating, admin was also contributing to the prize cost (I think $50/mo) so vendors weren't footing the full bill.

I could agree with above. I say lets all get this going again prize or not. I think it's just cool for everyone to vote for your truck to be the coolest at that time. Anyone can always post that you won any particular month in your signature.
