What have you plasti dipped...?

I know this probably is not something new and I've seen it mentioned a few times on the forum here, but just wondering what all have you guys and or gals used plasti dip for on your rigs? Post up pics if you got them and share your dealing with the product and results, pros? Cons? I'm considering covering the chrome handles, mirrors, grill, and bumpers in it. Thanks in advance!

So far I've plasti dipped my bumpers, rear license plate chrome, and outside mirrors. I still need to do the chrome door handles.
 
All of my emblems on my 4Runner, my grill, emblem and wheels on my Audi an finally my wheels, bumpers and grill on my Chevy 2500HD

I've never used plastidip, but the results seem purty good
 
OC Mike, how did the bumper turn out, any tips or tricks?

And Rebelbowtie, how is it on the wheels? Thought about those as well.

That grill looks nice Hoe_Nah, thought about doing my bumpers black and the grill in the white since my Runner is white with the black emblem.
 
How do you apply that stuff? Is it a brush on application? The PO of my runner spray painted the grill and its chipped up really bad, I think I'd like to redo it in that plasti dip.

it holds up pretty well actually. the only problem i had is when my wife curbed my Audi. removed plastidip and put another coat on and it even covered up the curb rash to where you couldnt tell it was there unless you were looking for it.

they have spray can application and an actual dip you can dip small parts into. also if you go to plasti dip your car website you can see all sorts of custom colors (like Audi's Nogaro Blue and flat OD green) and what not. plasti dip can even be applied using conventional air spray methods iirc.

Looks good so far. I've been through the gas station car wash many times and nothing has peeled. On the bumpers, I actually sprayed a light coat of rustoleum black as a base coat, then about 4 coats of plasti dip. I also dipped my grill. If it's chrome, it's getting covered. I'll try to post pics later.
 
Awesome sounds like a great product, actually just went to home depot tonight and they didn't have the spray. Gotta check somewhere else, maybe the Ace has some. Thanks for the input, I've seen pics on you tube and stuff but I like to see it on 2nd gen's to get some ideas.
 
Well I used the Plasti Dip on my grill and bumpers today, the texture came out a little rough in areas but overall I guess it looks ok on the bumpers and grill, what do you think?

Haha yeah I know I hate we have to have those type athletes but I think every school does. Thanks for the compliment I'm still getting used to it I think.
