what height jack stands for 3" lift

I did some searching and didn't find the answer I'm looking for. I need a new set of jack stands just for the 4Runner and I'll be lifting my suspension about 3" soon. What height range should should I be looking for in new jack stands?

Ground to frame measurement is about 15" now. I assume I'd want stands with with a range of about 20-28"?

the 6 ton ones from harbor freight work fine for me, the real problem is finding the jack to get it up high enough, thats wher the highlift comes in handy, of course you need a place to jack off of.

@op I have used 6 ton stands with success to just get the truck off the wheels.

I have a 2.5"/3" lift with 265/75/16" tires and it gets the tires 3-4" inches off the ground, before the jack maxes out, when jack from the front of the frame. Every time I need to get the rear in the air I use the rear axle. Also if you don't need to remove the front skid you can use the jack spot on it to get the front in the air.

My 6 tons from Autozone do not allow me to hold the rear in the air with the tires on... Pretty annoying.

Someone recommended this on another thread and if my rig was lifted I'd buy it:

Says it lifts from 11" to 21", I think that's enough for any rig no matter the lift. Even says at the bottom it's great for Jeeps and SUV's.

My 6 tons will keep my truck on 35s off the ground free-wheeling. If I need to drop the suspension, I just take the tires off.

I also have a couple tall truck/SUV jacks that have no problem getting it high enough to get a stand under.

I have 6 ton biggest I could find and have to have them pretty much maxed out with tires on, I usually lift with jack, remove tires, then set her down so I feel more safe and dont have to have the jacks sitting so high.

That would probably be This Jack. Would that be the BEST option, then? It doesn't list the min height. As long as it's 20" or so, I'd be fine.

Beside that option, I am wondering if the ones mentioned by BrianSD_42 would be ideal. They look like the best quality option. Eventually, I would like 2 pairs of stands. For now, I can use my lower stands under the axle.

Right now, I have an old Craftsman jack that goes up to about 20". If it's under the frame cross-members, I can get wheels off the ground. Under the rear diff, I can easily get it high up. I am really trying to avoid buying a new jack.

I got some 12 Ton jack stands from Princess Auto (Canadian equivilent to Harbour Freight) for around $100. I have to use some 2x4 scraps under my bottle jack to get enough height to lift the truck off the ground tho. Will have to invest in a bigger floor jack at some point.

I avoid HF tools almost always, but their 12T stands don't look too bad. The support range is 19-1/2" to 30-1/8". The Torin 12T stands on Amazon go up to 28". The ones that look highest in quality, the Hein-Werner 6T, extend up to 25-3/4". I do like the large base of the last ones. It seems that the HF 12T stands have a base of 12x12"?

Your 4Runner weighs more than the curb weight of 3,930 lbs now, but even if it is at 5,000 lbs, your 3T stands are fine. Remember, those stands are rated at 3T for the pair, not individually. Each, they are sufficient for 1.5T.

I bought HF's 3 ton jack stands. One was uneven and wobble real bad side to side and returned it within a day. Same goes with their jack. Ended up getting a Husky brand from Home Depot that's way more sturdy and well built.
