What hobbies do you have?

I work in a hospital and see a lot of suffering and death while trying to rehabilitate my patients, so my hobbies are an essential means to maintain my health and sanity.

I enjoy motorcycling, trail running, hiking, camping, Olympic style weight lifting, sometimes crossfit style workouts.

Really need to get back into yoga to round out the weight lift and prevent injury, and backpacking...haven't gone on a nice long backpacking trips in a couple years now!! John Muir trail anybody?

I haven't seen it a lot on here but other than cars I'm a big golfer. Played back in college, have tried to keep competing where I can. I bounce between a 2-4 handicap these days. I'm a big photographer too. I've posted a few times in the photography thread. Mostly wildlife and landscapes.

During the whole Covid lockdowns I bought a smoker and started smoking too. Pretty fun.

Wet shaving using double edge razors. I have one single edge Schick injector type E1 and have a Gem micromatic on the way. Can't wait to try that one.

I also play bass guitar. My 1997 Pedulla Thunderbolt is a monster and my Fender American Standard from early 2000s sounds soooooo good.

Industrial Millwright by Trade so I love welding..and making nut and bolt statues until my wife told me were running out of space.
Non work related hobbies I'm a 20 handicap golf hacker and ripping weed beds for Bass

Kayak fishing.

Hunting, fishing, hiking, but the most expensive one is competitive shooting. I shoot multiple divisions in USPSA & IDPA, traveling the SE for state and national championships, and reload (in great volume) to support that habit.

I used to drive around with my family during the weekends, but due to the pandemic, we've been trapped at home for a few months now.

my hobbies

The short answer is many and yes. The longer answer is pretty much everything I do, that matters to me, is a hobby of some form or other. Some of my major hobbies are:

1. Amateur Astronomy
2. Photography
3. Recreational Programming
4. Swimming
5. Fast driving

Due to the pandemic it's mostly been cooking for me, and some PC gaming. I work on a computer all day though so staring at a screen more is really losing it's appeal though. On a brighter note I've really dialed in my breakfast casseroles and my tri tip since March :hungry:

Now I'm trying to come up with some sort of creative pursuit to do around the house that's inexpensive and not too messy. About to take a shot at wood carving since I have some pieces of my last Xmas tree that are dry enough now, and I thought it would be cool to carve ornaments out of my previous trees.

Hobbies

I'm into canoeing, wildlife photography, fishing (fly and ultralight spinning), hiking, some camping and long road trips when I can. I also do some birding, biking, snowshoeing and what is probably best described as softroading in my 2020 stock SR5. Any activity that involves multiples of the above are preferred. Plus I am happily retired which allows me to pick and choose what the day will bring!
