Motorcycle road racing! It's pretty much my only "real" hobby. I'm not sure if it's because I don't like much of anything else, or because I can't afford anything else! :dizzy:
Here I am, running away from the competition!
Yup, roadracing doesn't leave much money for anything else...or at least it didn't back when I was doing it. Fortunately offroad racing is much cheaper, plus I make a lot more now than I did in my 20's.

I race a 2007 Triumph Daytona 675. There are a few quirks that the Daytona has when racing, but over all I manage. It's almost stock except for an aftermarket steering damper, a Penske 3-way rear shock, and rear sets. I actually won two novice championships on it in 2012!
I really need to get aftermarket cartridges in my forks and a few other things, then I can be more competitive with the experts in 2014. I had a moment in 2013 and hurt my shoulder after my first expert race so I took 2013 off to heal up and work on my bike a little.
I actually ended up just working on the 4runner though!

I have too many hobbies..... Well, so says the wife. :tea:
I have grown up racing motocross and crosscountry, and have a yz250 (I'm a 2 stroke kind of guy. Long live the ping!)
The problem is that I work full-time, am a full-time grad student here at the University of Oklahoma, and am a father/husband, so time for the dirtbike has run short. I also play competitive sand volleyball during the summer and you can find me on a semi-professional tour whenever my partner is around. However, aside of the offroad scene, I really love to backpack, walk slacklines, play ultimate frisbee, rugby, hike, I was a collegiate tennis player and still play, play basketball, golf. and most of all...
I freaking love Disc Golf. Also, slacklining is awesome... It's my meditation.
I got into disc golf about 2 years ago, and I'm straight hooked. I was super judgmental of it before trying, but I tried it about two years ago and was immediately hooked. It's a hike in the woods while throwing discs (frisbee's) and hoping to get them into the basket in as few throws as possible. It's a freaking blast, and I can't see myself not playing from here on out. It will be a lifelong hobby...

Yes! I would love to be a rally driver. It's amazing how quick those cars are. Also on the same level would be F1 racing.

Anyways my hobbies are driving, video games, building PCs, guitar and making music, shooting, fishing, hunting, picking up chicks, swimming, engineering, auto work, rock climbing, and being a bad ass.

I started surfing about 12 years ago, but only somewhat recently sort of reached the "obsessed" level. It wasn't until getting the right equipment that the transition happened. It's pretty important up here. Now it's all I think about!
I'm also an avid climber. Bouldering more specific. But lately I'm more of a gym rat due to the above hobby.

Does working on ur house count? Owning a 70 yr. old craftsman is a lot of work! Other than that its fishing, camping, pumping iron with my sons, beating the crap outta my heavy bag, fixing said heavy bag(again), martial arts, drinking and smoking and pretending to care. :couch2:

Good for you, man. I don't know if I could hang for very long surfing in the great northwest. I'm guessing you have to wear 5/4 wetsuits in the winter, maybe get away with a 4/3 in the summer? 5mm booties, with gloves and a hood?

All depends on the swell. Right now we're looking at temps in the mid to upper 40's. In the summer it will get into the mid to upper 50's. Sometimes in the low 60's on rare occasions. When I started surfing around here, I was using a 3/2mm suit that I used to wakeboard in and no booties, gloves or hood. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Went surfing for a month or so in Costa Rica and swore off surfing around here ever again. Now I've got a really nice wool-lined 5/4mm, 7mm booties (surprisingly still a lot of sensitivity with them) and gloves from 2mm to 5/3mm. And on top of that, I bought myself a heated vest this year (and yes, it is AMAZING). Yeah, it's a lot of equipment and a lot of work, but I kind of like it. Not to mention it makes you appreciate any sort of warm water surfing that much more.

I have 4 tanks right now, 3 fresh water, and the 29 gallon in my living room is brackish.
I have a 6 foot long 125 gallon tank in my basement that is fresh water, it has 12 year old iradescent sharks in it, as well as a couple severums, some cats, and some other random fish.
I have a 4 foot long 75 gallon tank to the right of the 125 which is a South American Cichlid tank
My 29 gallon brackish tank in the living room has a green spotted puffer who's 5 or 6 years old
Here is my filtration setup for the 2 big tanks, 125 gallon canister on the left, 75 gallon canister on the right
I don't have any pictures online of the 29 gallon in my bedroom, but it is a black tank, with black sand, and has an 8 inch Electric Blue Jack Dempsey.

I like to ski and travel. I've combined the two for some great trips: Colorado, Utah, France, Switzerland, Alberta, British Colombia (2 times), California, Nevada, Italy and Quebec (4 times). All over New England too. Also done a few great road trips out west. One in a Cadillac and the other in an RV. I'd take the caddy over the RV any day. Thinking of what I should do next.
