Hello,

I live in Dominican Republic and recently bought a 2012 4runner limited,

I wonder what is and what is its function of button and the two lights that have the rearview mirror, when I press the power button only lights a bulb,

My truck use smart Key,

I believe its for your auto dimming mirror. If its on, it dims when it detects light (headlights) behind you. If its off, it does not dim and has full reflection.

Toggles the auto dimming mirror

Hi Toyotero4ever,

This is a "Dimmer". The button in the middle is the ON/OFF (power) button. The ICON on the left is the on/off indicator; lets you know what mode you're in. And on the right... the photo cell (sensor); measures the light hitting the mirror and automatically makes adjustments to minimize the glare. This automatic feature can be turned on or off. Rgds

And.....If your Limited doesn't have Nav , I believe that button turns on and off the rear view monitor.Green on and orange off. Put the truck in reverse and push that button to see if it turns on and off the rearview monitor in the mirror.
