what is this wire? is this normal? I don't remember it being there but maybe I just don't remember. this is under the glove box

I think this the cable going to the vent box which hooks up to the lever that controls hot air into the cabin.

That is the sheathing for the wire that EDIT: hooks up to the linkage under the box. Normal and properly routed. At ease.

Ding ding! It is the cable for HVAC controls.

And yes, it's always been there.
