4alarm said:I just went out and checked. Found the spot where the other end attaches. What a poor design. The opposite mounting location barely holds it. I guess thats why both of mine were just hanging there.

I popped mine out to install the cabin filter, took me probably less than a minute to drop the glove box and slide the filter in. (2005 Taco's didn't come with the cabin filter, 2006 does.) But it took me 15 minutes fiddling around trying to pop it back on.
I think the Taco one is different than one you pictured. If I recall, I think the other end (cylinder side, not strut) with the attachment looks like a hair pin.
