I was installing my red arc brake controller when the item circled in yellow just sorta fell down and was hanging by the wires. I know the white port is the OBD2 port, but what is the little box that fell down??

That's a lot of extra wiring. Looks like an aftermarket remote start brain box possibly?

Is there a label on it? Because as a guess, it looks like a GPS tracker that finance companies install.

I've narrowed it down to an MLAB GPS tracker. I bought it used w/ 1,500 miles and just noticed this. My buddy said dealerships install these sometimes as well so I'm not sure if the original owner had it for their kid, or the dealership installed it.

Not sure. I removed it and nothing happened so I'll take that as a win.
