what kind of gears should I get

Thinking about buying gears. I am putting on 33/10.5 BFG All terrain tires and was wondering what would be the best universal gears to put on. I was thinking 411 gears and mybe 456. Still trying to decide. Anyone got any inputs?

I would suggest 4.3's if you dont offroad much and 4.56 otherwise. 32's and bigger produce noticeable reduction in your mileage with 4.11's
Are you sure you dont have 4.11's already?

I dont know what gears I have. Do 411 gears come stock in a 98 SR5? Kind of new to the drive line stuff.

There were 5 available diff ratios and it depended on what engine, transmission, 2wd/4wd, wheel size or option package you had. Check out the Specifications link at the bottom of this page from J.A.s Toyota 4Runner website. You can work out what you have.

most likely 4.10, 3.96, or 4.30. 4.56's would be good but is it worth the 1500 bucks to regear it? I don't think so
