I was born in NJ, and both of my parents were born in Cuba. My great grandfather was a pretty well-known man in Cuba, but other than that, no one famous in my family. We're pretty uneventful :thumb3:

But someone in my fiancé's family (he told me who, but I'm guilty of not listening when he talks) invented the Stetson Hat, and one of his descendants came over on the Mayflower, so that's pretty cool, I guess! Lol

3/4 Polish and a quarter German from my maternal grandfather, I speak it/English is my second language and was even born there(Łodz, Poland). My most famous ansestor is Kazimierz Pułaski(I'm his brothers direct descendant)(Casimir Pulaski for all the Americans in here) he was a general in the American Revolution and the father/creator of the American Cavalry(yes, the one in the military today counts)

I'm English, Scots, and Welsh. Only person of any fame that I can reliably connect to is my 2nd cousin, 8 times removed, Dolly Madison. We both share a common ancestor that arrived in Virginia in the 1630s.

Some books/articles claim this common ancestor is the son of a Scottish earl, and if so, I'm related to every king and queen of antiquity. But several other books/articles claim there is no connection between my ancestor and the Scottish earl, and in that case, I'm just a 14th generation American farm boy. I prefer the latter.
