What nationality are you ? Anyone famous in family ?

Both sides of my family have been here so long I don't know where we came from. According to my grandmother my great-great-something-or-other grandfather signed the Declaration of Independence. I've never seen actual evidence so I'm obviously skeptical, but it'd be cool if true.

My wife is full blood German. She's a direct descendant of the Germans who founded the Northern Houston area. Strack, Wunderlich, Mittelstadt, etc.

Italian, Polish, French Canadian. From the Northeast, but currently living in the Southeast. I do have someone famous in my family. He was a distant relative. Passed away in mid-80's. He was in movies and tv, and the last thing he did was a well know sit-com in the 80's. If I give any more info it will be obvious who he is, and I'd like it to remain relatively anonymous.

Famous? Not really, but something noteworthy:
Once upon a time, Vlad the Impaler (Yes, ye olde badass Dracula hisself) burned a church with a bunch of folks inside. Some of my ancestors were inside when it happened, and a remnant of a tapestry that they wove and donated to the church survived the fire. It's now part of the on-site museum tour inside the church.
Famous? Not really, but something noteworthy:

From our genealogy search -
We're stuck on my Mother's side (courthouse record burned in Virginia during the Civil War).
My father's side is as English as they come. We're back to late 1400's (I'm the 15th generation we've located).
As for "famous" (on Father's side) I have 2 - one was the publisher of the King James Bible and the other was either a physician or theologian to Henry the 8th (records aren't that clear).
