I am 100% Polish born and raised. Mothers 100% and Fathers 98%. My mom's family contains Casimir Pulaski, who is my great, great......uncle (my mom even had her DNA tested, crazy right). My dad on the other hand is a direct descendent from Alessandro Filipepi, a renaissance painter. I don't know if it counts but my godfather is Olek Krupa, him and my mom have been friends since the 70's because they both worked in the Polish film industry and my father is godfather to Marcin Gortat, whose dad is childhood friends with mine. Even further into famous people, my sister dated Luke Wilson from the Seahawks in grade and high school. Thats about it, but I haven't looked into my families further.

I did my family genealogy in Ancestry.com and was able to go back 24 generations on my dad's side of the family. His line, which is my last name, Travis, landed at Jamestown around 1650. Migrated here from Cork, Ireland. They landed in Ireland from England in the mid 1500's, who landed in England in 1066 from France. My 24th ggf was referred to as Chief Travers. He fought with William the Conqueror in the Battle of Hastings in the French invasion of England in 1066.
So with that being said: American, Irish, English, and French on my dad's side. On my mom's side, German, French, and English. So just a basic WASP.
Famous people: my 13th great aunt is Queen Katherine Howard, third wife to King Henry VII. She was beheaded for treason and infidelity.
My 3rd cousin, 3 times removed, is William Barrett Travis, Commander of the Alamo, who died March 6, 1836, along with 180 other Texan patriots defending the Alamo against 2,000 soldiers of the Mexican army led by Santa Anna.

One other relative I forgot, although not really famous but quite interesting, is my ggf, Elbert Dewitt Travis. He fought in the Civil War for the Mississippi Cavalry, then afterwards became an accomplice to Quantrill's Raiders, Jesse and Frank James, and other outlaws. He became the leader of a covert group and society known as the Knights of the Golden Circle (KGC). He married Martha Ann Patterson and they settled in Van Zandt County, Texas, where I was born and raised.
