I've been running my BFG's K02's in 275 70 17 (load range E) for the past two months. Initially they were filled with 32 psi from Discount Tire. To me they looked flat when sitting so I bumped it up to 42. It seemed to help but notice outside edges on front tires were starting to wear. I bumped it up to 50 today. With these being load range E tires I read you have to run higher PSI. Is that true? What is the proper psi for these?

42-45 would seem to be good as far as normal 4runner load capacity was concerned. They still ride pretty nice at 45. Above that you can feel them getting stiffer.
There may be other issues at play, this question has been asked a lot and everyone has a different answer. "They're load E so you HAVE to run them at 65!" etc. But I am to understand that the load E tires overlap the full load D and C ranges, so the entire LT line on that graph is available depending on the actual load put to them.
Going to run mine at 45 for now...
Oh and yeah, the people that put mine on filled them to 36 which was way low. I set them to 32 would be mighty squishy for highway use
I set them to 30 for general offroading and they are really nice and smooth.

If your not doing any particularly hazardous rock crawling or sidewall bashing type stuff then the C should be just fine I think. I'd have gone for the C myself had there been the option. Though in the end, after all the fear, the E's have been really nice!

Ive been running 35 on the street and with about 20k on the tires, the wear looks just about spot on. Most of my driving is freeway to and from work. My trip is 44 miles per day 90% of it is freeway.
Off road I have a few different pressures I run and for different reasons and terrains.

40psi for better wear and mpg
For softer ride 35psi
Rotate every 3-5k religiously
They will last you 80-100k easy
I've installed these for multiple customers with the same results awesome tires.
Psi and rotations also go for all tires on 4runners
But regularly checking air pressure and doing your rotations along with alignments, will all help tire life dramatically
