Replacement value - my thoughts exactly. His car cannot be replaced, unless they have an undamaged 2018 TRD Pro in cavalry blue with 25k miles on the clock that they can trade him for his damaged one. Otherwise, to make him whole they will have to provide a different vehicle of the same value that he would accept in its place. A new TRD ORP would likely be in the ballpark of replacement value.
Plus, according to the OP, the dealer already floated the option of a new car replacement.
There's at least one matching cavalry blue pro for sale with 18k miles in Colorado currently. Dealer can buy directly from other dealer, swap out the two assuming the other one is clean, and then do what it wishes with the bad one.
