What the hell is up with my t-case

We had some snow yesterday so I had it in 4wd, I did not lock the center diff. This morning I got up and drove it to work. There were a few bad spots so I left it in 4wd until I got out to the main road and put it back in 2wd. No problems yet. Ten min later I merged onto I95 and got up to speed. After a few miles my green and yellow 4wd indicators lit up and stayed on. While sitting in traffic getting on post I attempted to put it in 4wd but they would not go off or go solid. Once I parked I shut it down and restarted. They were still blinking but went solid when I shifted it into 4wd and off when I shifted it back to 2wd.

What gives? We are due for more snow tonight and my Super Duty has it's panties in a bunch right now too so I need the 4runner to function.

New to this whole Toyota thing and need some help.

Makes sense. Any one have an exploded view of the T-case I haven't gotten an Service Manual for this truck yet.

Have you tried driving in reverse to get the transfer case to drop out of 4wd? That's what they told me to do with my 2005 tacoma. Worth a shot...

Its out and back to working like it should. I just think it takes a long time to fully engage, solid lights. I miss having a manual t-case.
