Still really like them. Good road manners both dry and wet. I have just shy of 4000 miles on them and still look like they are new. I did back them down to 42 psi with the summer heat. Seems to be a good spot for ride comfort. At this point, I would buy them again without hesitation.

Roof Rack (Gobi, OGS, maybe Baja or SSO)

Not sure about the rear bumper. Really wanted to throw a spare tire mounted bike rack on there that I could keep on all the time.

And suspension...idk. Inch or two over stock.

Other than have the dealership add heated seats, at 500 miles on the ODO I changed the tires from OEM Dunlaps to Falken WildPeak AT3W (my Trail now looks like a Trail!). Next dipped the Trail wheels. At 1,500 miles got my TRD wheels (I should have waited for the Falkens until I received the TRDs wheels but oh well I could not).

I am looking at a set of NOKIANS Rotiiva all-terrain ...

How can I improve that cadillac-like stock suspension ? Never had a car with so much nose dive on braking ... Dealer said they can offer a suspension package, anybody know about that ? I don't want to go too crazy, but at this point I think anything will make a big difference.

Negative. Still searching. Stupid dealerships not answering my questions or blatanly lying to me in order to get me to drive 3hrs one way to the dealership. So sick of it. And these things are overpriced. No denying that, even though this is a toyota forum.

I’ve been close to buying two. One had a smoke smell (uh nope) and one I got to the dealership too late. Hoping there are July 4 sales. Just going to buy an SR5 now. Less electronic stuff, the better for what I’ll be doing.

The first thing I did was Pro Comp Rims( approx $600 installed @ 4wheel parts) and BFG 265 70 17(approx $750 Costco). I liked the different rims that pro comp sold instead of the Matte black TRD pro rims. Plus now I don’t have the same rims as everyone else here in Honolulu has...

I made my grill then installed the pod lights along with oedro led lights all into factory wiring. Following was nearly every weathertech product

1. Husky mats (something like this should be #1 mod if you are taking your Runner anyplace interesting).
2. Canvasback seat back / third-row / cargo area protectors. We have a dog and with kids in the third row, the second row seat backs can sometimes get footprints (no matter how many times you tell them to keep their feet down, lol).
3. Toytech BOSS lift (3") with Nitto Terra Grappler G2 AT tires.

Going to order sliders next to get rid of the factory side-steps.

Nice! Well it was my plan to install a lift and add 33" tires, but I ended up buying one used with that done already, with only 16k on it.

• Icon stage 3 lift
• American Racing Mojave ATX wheels
• 285/70 17 BFG MT KM2

Then I added:

I’d be careful with the Curt roof rack. Mine rusted very quickly then dripped onto the top of my roof causing rust all over. I would get rid of the rack ASAP especially a super white runner.

If you just want a firmer ride buy 5100’s for the front and set them to the first setting. This will level your rig and reduce nose dive. This is a super cost effective option under 400 total.

Also yes Nokian is made in Russia but still a good tire.

If you are looking for a cost effective A/T tire that performs well in snow and rain I would suggest the Falken AT3W wildpeak Prated not LT. the P rated wildpeak comes with a silica compound mixed in and is lighter which makes a better gripping tire in winter weather.

If you plan on rock crawling or towing then get LT. they are half the price of duratracs and 50% less than KO2’s with similar performance.

Yeah, I hear you. There is a whole conversation in the amazon review section about how to rust-proof them (ss hardware, paint, and silicone). I'd presume it would be a problem with any of the steel painted racks to one degree or another, but especially the ones on the more budget end of the spectrum. I'm going to see how the suggestions work and then sell if I'm having issues. I've only got $130 in it all together, so I'm pretty sure I can get most of my money back out of it here in rack-crazy Bend.

Yeah I did the same thing if you look closely on my runner it has an orange roof rack. I painted the whole thing with rustoleum. Worked for a while until rain got into the rack and started to drip liquid rust into the roof after every rain. I sold the whole rig and started over with a new MGM. Once rain gets inside it is almost impossible to stop the rusting process.

But then I put on OE Tube Steps acquired with help here from Dallas area parts for what they put on 4r's in gulf states not available in Northwest (I know doesn't really count as MOd). Then I got Vinyl Cavblue TRD inlays off eBay and put them on my skid plade 'cause it looks good to me... Then red D-Rings on front from Amazon... then this RAMmount phone setup...

My First quick mods were electrical components. 1st mod was hardwiring my radar detector from my previous vehicle. Then I new added a CarPlay head unit and wired in a back up cam. Easily added a hardwired streamlight stinger (tapped the cams power)
