What wire is this?

I went shooting the other day and after I shut off my rig, I noticed a fan was still on. I gave it little kick to the bumper and it shut off. Fast forward to the next day, i was cleaning my truck from yesterdays outing and i noticed this dangling down from my bumper.

Me being curious I touched the 2 wires together and nothing happend, but after grounding 1 of the wires to the bumper a fan kicked on; Either wire black or white w/ red stripe turns on this fan. 90' t4r 3.0 v6

Where does this hook up to?

IIRC that's to the big white resistor that's mounted to the front of the A/C Accessory Fan, the shrouded one in the pic above on the right side in front of the A/C Condenser. You'll want to pull your bumper and grill to be sure though. Your wiring loom will likely be routed in the OE fashion versus what we did when I still had an auto and added the trans cooler. The resistor's normal spot is to the left of the support brace, right where I had my cooler mounted.

Here's an example.

Is this something I should order or getting one from a salvage yard would be okay? Thanks for the quick reply....^^^

Why not just unpin the clip and resolder the wires? It rarely breaks at the resistor, always where the heat wrap is closest to the plug itself. Reattach it and make sure the plug can't go flopping around again.
