What would you do if you win the lotto?

I would buy the 4Runner featured here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?p=453921&posted=1#post453921. Then I would have my friends take video of me red-lining the engine after draining out all the oil and coolant, shooting at it with a menagerie of small arms, and then lighting the interior on fire. Then I would send the video to the seller. Of course anybody on this forum would get parts that they needed off of it for free before I ruined the pos. :naughty:

Haha, my list would go on and on!

But first I would forget about going to college (high school would be enough for me), forget about getting a job, I'd buy 4Runner of every gen, get a nice house and help my parents, family, and friends out.

if i won the lotto i would build the same rig as roams except white with a white bumper and white wheels! that would be so bad ass

Get myself some black SR5 flares for the 4runner and a 1994 Land Rover Defender Arles Blue Soft Top, with a 300TDI coming in on the row row from England, Give my parents enough money as they want/need. Try to finish college, Instantly take a 2 week vacation to SoCal, get myself a 2000sq ft house near the beach in SoCal with a large ass garage filled with some Snap-on tools, Pick up a few more cars like a 63 Vette Stingray coupe, 66 GT-350H Mustang, that R8 V12TDI, and obviously a 2004 VW R32. Try to save up the rest.

50 or so acres and a nice house in the country and one BIG ass shop , I mean 5000-10000 sq ft. ,heated and air conditioned , equipped to the nuts with top of the line everything ! Keep working ? Are ya kidding me ? I never quite understood the mindset of these people who win big money and on the TV you hear them say " yes we will both still keep our jobs". Bleh !
I'd be so busy working on vehicles I would be collecting I would barely have time to enjoy my big house :D

:iagree::nicethread::beer:

I would continue on with my career. I would use some of the money to buy a nice house and fulfill my dream of owning lots of cars. The remainder would be invested.

all that stuff is absolutely worthless and stupid...

Well it depends on how much is won, 5 mill or 150mill...

5 Mill Slow down and enjoy life... invest then back to school (I like school)
History and Earth science. That would be good...

150 mill...Collections... Start with something relatively easy like corvettes
Then Ducaties after that Supras, 80's 90's super cars,
then progress to say main battle tanks,
Traveling all over the damn place to find them :)
Some philanthropy too.

I'd replace the bald left rear tire on the Country Squire station wagon.
Maybe replace the coat hanger antenna too.
Keep farming until the money ran out.

Holy Resurrection! 8 years  but I'll play~~

1. Pay off all debt.

2. Invest in secure assets to insure income for my expected lifetime.

3. If there is enough left:
A). Insure that immediate family and select close friends can retire.
B). Donate to numerous animal shelters and homeless shelters etc.

4. Immediately take an around-the-world, 1 year trip to dodge all the sketchy people that would come out of the woodwork.

Wow old thread, but interesting to think about. If it was a Mega Million type win, I'd get my legal team together to set up the best long term financial success plan.

I'd sell my house, pay off debt and gift some money to family. I'd quit my job, invest my new money and live off the interest. If you won $100,000,000, you would have interest of about $4,000,000 a year. I'd travel, find new hobbies, help people and live life.

Silly spending may include a mega yacht vacation rental.

1) Contact a "Lottery Winners" lawyer
2) Never go back to my home without first having the Police or armed Security with me and my family
3)
4)
5)
6) Travel more
7)

Depends how much "a lot" is. I would prioritize investing it and living off the proceeds. But if it were more than enough to do that, I might consider funding medical procedures associated with my having begun a new life as a man, helping out family members in need, putting aside money for other extraordinary health care expenses that may appear in the future, then getting myself an apartment.

If I got enough to live my ideal lifestyle off the proceeds from my investments, finish up my medical transition, help out family members, put aside money for any large health care expenses that are not covered by insurance for both myself and my parents, and get myself an apartment, I would probably start some sort of charitable foundation and get involved in causes that are important to me.
