Whats the best idea for lifting my 99 4runner??

I've finally decided I want to lift my 99 toyota 4runner. I've only been able to find 2.5'' lift kits? Is that all thats out there? I was hoping to find a 6'' but i guess they are nowhere to be found. Body lift would be ok i supose with suspension but i hate the look of that big gap
any suggestions?

I have to ask if you're prepared to fork up the cost of everything that is associated with a 6" lift. How much expendable cash do you have right now to put into this lift?

if you want a 6" lift go with the Tacoma lift, but thats going to be $$$ as you have to fab up the rear. like p nut put it how much are you willing to spend?

Well i took it in to a shop the other day and because the 4runner is independent in the front he said i need a solid front axil and then i can lift however high i want. but he said that installed would be 3-4gs ?

I have no idea what everything would cost to get it jacked up but i was hoping no more then 6gs

That lucky 4R will look awesome!! with 6gs. You can go with fabtech 6" lift with LT315/75R16, slider, ARB air locker diff. (front and back) Bull Bar with winch, probably rear bumper with tire carrier.

AWESOME!!!!! I want that lift. give me all the details of the suspension at the back. What make or give the link. Love that Rig.

complete custom in the rear end, guy fabbed it up himself. Worked for Toyota for ** years and has done some custom work before. I did not have the work done to the vehicle, previous owner did. I purchased it to go play around the island with and explore. Plus its unique, caught my eye.

What all would you have to do in order to get that fabtech tacoma lift in the 4runner?
Im not to familiar with what all has to be done
if some one could help explain that would be much appreciated!

i pieced all the lift together but you can get all of it from toytec lifts and they have the best prices!!! if you do lift you ride and like my setup i have the OME (old man emu) OME 883 springs and the toytec top plate spacer in the front (which were intended for 2in of lift on the new 4runners and gives us 3.5in of lift. only three of us are using them) and in the rear i have OME 890's and a 1.5 coil spacer (the spacer is the only thing i did not get from toyec and i got it from this site http://www.suspensionconnection.com/.../KT09107L.html ) (if that link doesnt work just go to suspensionconnection.com and search around.) also get new longer shocks i have the OME ones toytec also sells.
