What's the biggest tires can fit on my TRD wheels?!

I currently have TOYO open country 265/70r17 from the factory..

I have a 3inch lift and mostly drive on pavement and go off road ounce a month.

Should I stick to All Terrain or switch to mud terrain?

Anything over 285/70r17 will require trimming.

275/70r17 will fit with the stock suspension.
285/70r17 requires a lift no trimming with the trd wheel offset
295/70r17 require lift and trimming of the frame woth a notch
(This is what I had on my fj toyo mys on walker evans)
Larger than this you need to trim plastic in the wheel wells, some require body lift, and more depending on the size.

That TRD rim is oddly only 7" wide. IIRC manufacturers recommend no bigger than 275/70-17.

Spacers DEFINITELY make it worse.

With spacers you will need to notch the frame even on the smaller sized tire.

Sure, look at the chart I linked too. That size tire is on the list. Most common sizes are and it tells you what you would "generally" need to do to make them fit.

Spacers make everything more difficult UNLESS you have an aftermarket wheel with not enough backspacing to clear your UCA's then it is just a wash.

you can fit whatever the hell you want on it. just depends on how much tire can fit in the wheel well and if you pick a wider that recommended tire, how much cupping you'll get.
