Whats the value of this supercharger this truck?

Only the Supercharger not the truck!

If I can pick this up from this guy what do you guys think it would be worth? Just the supercharger by its self. He said it was on there new so I guess the dealer installed it prior to initial sell. I don't think it has any other supporting fuel mods.

I wouldn't pay more than 6000 since its a 2wd. He doesnt mention any service for the supercharger either and if it has been on there since new it is probably ready for a rebuild. Looks pretty clean though.

The problem with used ones is that the prices of parts to rebuild have doubled in the last year or so once Toyota stopped making them. That's why I've seen a flood of used chargers on the market.

$1500 would be a good price for a used charger with all the parts needed (dynamic tensioner, etc.) for the 2nd gen black ones.

You don't need extra fuel mods, the are just a bonus for more power.

If you get all the SC parts that go along with it I would go as high as $800 and know you still have another $200 to put out to get all the service parts for it. That will not include labor costs of you do not do it yourself. Do the 4R already have the self tensioning idler pulley? If not I would knock another $200 off.

I had to rebuild the SC on my 4R when I bought it and found out quickly that as much as I had researched the SCs I still had a lot to learn. After a rebuild and a nose cone swap I am much better now. That said; I would do it again but negotiate the price down a little because of all the SC maintenance I had to do.

What parts have 'doubled'? If you order from rolling preformance i dont think the prices have changed? I can see nose cone kits going up though.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about, the nose cone kits. Few people have a press in order to do their own bearings and press them in so for the rest we use nose cone kits or supercharger oil change kits, which are a whole lot more expensive now.

Which is one of the reasons I am building a press right now. Lots of the more expensive shop work that I need done from time to time requires a press and I had no press. That is about to change.

Yes I have a Buba list(group of friends with different tools) between all of us we have what is needed to make up a pretty descent shop. I want to do the work myself as I do everything myself. I want to know the machine I am driving inside out. I'm a Pilot for the airlines so its a blessing and a curse and kinda comes with the territory. If anyone on here has one PM me and I'll go that route.
