Happy to be a part of the 4Runner club, finally!! I've wanted one for years. We had a 96 Acura Integra GSR that, just over a week ago, was totaled by a huge hail storm that came through here, with baseball sized hail. I wanted to keep the car, but we have a 2.5 year old girl, and the wife is 8 mos prego with girl number two, so we decided to take the insurance check, the car, and trade it in. So, with a tear or two over the loss of our 10 year old Acura, we decided it was no longer feasible to keep it as our family is growing, and I would not have the time to do the maintenance and paint job on it that it desperately needed.

So here it is! Has a few hail dents itself, so we got a nice cut off the price. We'll have them PDR'd later on. We LOVE this thing!!!!!

What does the label on the leather seats read?

I noticed you have what looks like your Accord prepped for paint in the garage. Hail damage as well?

Tag on the seat says LiquiCell I believe. I know they are comfy as all hell!!

And yeah, that's my old Accord. I bought it a few years ago for a DD beater for $750 when gas went effin nuts. Had it fixed up nice for a 18 year old car too. We took a trip to New Mexico in it last July and had no problems. But two weeks after the trip, while driving to work, it blew a heater hose and leaked out the coolant under the car where I never noticed it. By time I realized something was wrong it was too late. So now, I have it totally torn down, have added a sunroof from my donor car, and the donor car also has a LXI A20A3 fuel injected engine that I'm going to rebuild and put in, to replace the A20A1 Carbureted engine it used to have. It will be my DD once I get the body work done, the interior re-installed, and get the engine/trans rebuilt and dropped in. The 4Runner will the wife's DD.

Yeah it's speedbumps, damn things are huge too. My 96 Ram has worn out shocks and leafs/springs so it will just float over them at 50 MPH like you never hit anything. I like getting people to follow me in their little cars and such going around 50 down that street, then I blast over the speed bump and they dont have time to react, and I see an airborne car and sparks as it bottoms out LOL. Then I pretty much dont see them again as they nearly stop and "rock crawl" the next speedbumps as they traverse the rest of the street....

Yeah I'm an ass sometimes but it entertains me so :beer:

What a coincidence. I also went from a 96 Integra GSR to a T4R in the past month. My GSR was getting some nice rust spots due to all the winter salt. I loved that GSR. It is like having two cars--it drives like a civic when driving slowly, and turns into a sports car when you push it near the 8000 RPM red line. I can see that the 4Runner is somewhat similar in that it also lives a double life.

definitely.. i was never disappointed in the 4runner as far as speed, power and looks is concern eventhough it's a little unstable on the highway when windy....

I like your 4runner ram, it's loaded with goodies... Another street&terrain 4runner :biggrin2:

Yeah I dont think I'll ever stop missing my GSR. What a fun car it was, and RARELY lost a race in it. I cant tell you how many fools thought it was just some little slow car, and got owned by the VTEC lol. Best car we've ever owned, hands down. You know, last summer, I put its VERY FIRST set of brakes on it, at, 133K miles!! I know they were the stock brakes because I broke the torque stripe on the rotor screws and caliper bolts, and all the parts were the Honda factory "Nissin" brake parts. How's that for incredible brake life???

And about the spoiler, yeah I tend to agree. I've seen some with, and some without, and I prefer it without the spoiler. Looks out of place for some reason. We are in love with this 4Runner though already. I'm Already looking for Street Scene speed grille inserts for it, though looks like they dont make them yet for this year model. Guess me looking for custom parts already means it's been accepted into the family

And also, we moved alot of stuff out of our spare bedroom that was being used as a storage room (baby coming so it's being re-done for that) But I filled my Ram full of boxes, and had to fill up the 4Runner too so we could move the stuff to a storage building. Let me tell you, that thing looks awesome on the road too. I kept watching my mirrors while she followed through town. I guess staring at it never gets old lol.

Cool, looks awesome man! I hear you on the Integra....I had a couple of 93 Integra's back in the day (one GSR one RS) and they were just awesome daily drivers. If I was looking for a fun gas-friendly commuter, that's definetly the same place I'd look again. Do you have pics of that 68 Chev?

Yep sure do. These were back in 93 when I first got this truck, it was a couple years before I actually got my license. Had a 283 with 350 heads, Edelbrock intake, and a Rochester QuadraJet 4bbl carb, Hooker headers, and duals with 24" hash cut echo chambers. Looked like ass but ran like a SOB for a SBC.

And how it looks today..... someday I'll have time to restore it and the Charger...... someday...... :gaptooth:

The spoiler takes a little time to grow on you. There will be a time when you see a 4Runner without the spoiler and it will look naked. :bugeye:

Welcome to the family. The atmosphere here is alot more respectful than those you'd find in a Honda/Acura forum.

I was in a similar situation as to what you're going through with your family and your GSR. My last car was a 98 GSR and I loved that thing as well. I only gave her up because my son was OTW at the time. I had her dialed up a little over 300hp on the dyno (turbocharged). In my case, I couldn't afford having 2 cars so I sold the GSR and got the 4Runner.

You didn't mention any mods on your GSR, but I'm sure you'll start modding away since you took the first step into finding this site. As you had probably seen, there are some sick rides on this forum. See you around.
