What's your opinion on Zymol cleaner wax?

Zymol Cleaner Wax
It's crap. I detail cars on the side for some extra cash and I have been through a lot of different products. Cleaner waxes are great for that quick wax and polish that looks OK. You will never get as good a finish as you do with a polish then a wax. Out of all the cleaner waxes I liked Meguiar's the best. However, it, as well as the Zymol, will leave the chalk spots on you trim if you are not careful.
If you want a wax that won't leave any white marks on trim, is easy to put on and take off, and looks like a million bucks get this: http://www.p21s.com/products/bis_cw.html This stuff is the best Carnauba Wax period. You won't be disappointed. Make sure you polish your paint first because this wax has no polishing properties.

Thanks a million for a great advice!
I purchased P21S wax and gloss enhancer and all I kept saying while I was taking the polish and the wax off was "wow". I was completely surprised at the results. What I love the most is the gloss, the mettalic paint was shinning even more than when I got my 4Runner from the dealer. It came off very easy, and it didn't leave any residue on the cladding, which all the other did(Meguiar's, Zymol). Now, I saw a similar product at a Harley Davidson Dealer called S100. Is this the same product marketed for bikes? If it is, then it's much cheaper.
Now for the real test, how does it hold, unfortunately tomorrow they are predicting light snow here in New York, so hopefully It should keep the rig shinny for a few weeks. Thanks again for your advice.

If you want some good tips, so a search on the site for Griots or Zainos. There are several thread related to deatailing clays, polishes, & waxes. Personally I prefer Griot's products, found at www.griotsgarage.com....:thumb:

Using a clay bar
My next project will be using the clay bar to get rid of some minor things on the paint. I am a little confused as how to use the clay bar. I know you have to use a mild dish washing detergent to take off the wax. How do you exactly use the clay and what do you do after you use it? My 4Runner is a about 1 1/2 years old, should I use the clay?

Th clay bar is a breeze. You can even get a Mother's clay bar kit from Autozone. When you use the clay bar you will spray the surface with a liquid that acts as a lubricant for the caly to glide across. The clay pulls all the contaminents out of the paint that you usually can't even see, but feel. After you clay it, if you have any swirl marks, it is a good idea to polish it, then wax.

Fantastic! Thanks for the advice!! Do you do the whole truck or just the surface that feels a little rough? Sometimes the problem is in finding these items, at times the local stores don't carry them. I hope Autozone or PepBoys carry them, they are close. Can you re-use the clay? I'll like to do my wife's car too.
Momo is right with his response. To give you a frame of reference, I did a 97 Camry that was in pretty bad shape (much worse than I thought for a car I had religiously used Meguiar's on) in an hour. It felt brand new when I was finished with it.msanta said:

I would recommend that you should clay a 1 1/2 year old vehicle. It helped a brand new one.
Where Momo and I part company is on the specific products -- he uses Griot's, I use Zaino's. In reality, you can't go wrong either way.

I am completely new at this and don't want to spoil my paint! Please be gentle with me!:cheers: I love taking care of the truck my wife thinks I am nuts and my neighbor makes fun of me, but he's got the dirtiest cars in the block anyhow!
