What's your T4Rs missing feature or annoyance??

I just don't get this feeling. Just made a 5 hour drive in wind so bad I lost 2mpg and barely noticed it power wise. Now I looked like a was drunk trying to keep it on the road. Lol

Don't get me wrong it's no power house but I think it's adequate. My other driver is 725hp so I know the different but I guess I just don't expect it to be powerful.

Seriously it is slow. Almost anything you get into is faster then the 4runner.

The new Super Duty trucks have carpet delete options in any trim level. I would definitely think that would be a perfect option for the 4runner.

From my 4th Gen, I miss the starting capability that it had--you just slightly turned the key and the truck did the rest. Simple, and not that big of a deal, but I really liked it.

My MIL has a Highlander with the window screen covers built into the back passenger windows. How come that isn't on the 4Runners too? Simple and easy to do--just like the RAV mirrors....

Sometimes my climate control knob ends up half way between settings and no air is flowing. It is a stupid design and could have been avoided. Sometimes it doesn't turn on when I left it on and I have to fiddle with it to turn on.

Um, you guys know a lot of these features can be had in the 4Runner:

Auto climate, dual zone, auto headlight, remote start, push button start, AWD (Torsen Center Diff), ... ?

What I'd like to see would be:

1) Rear AC/Heat; pain in the butt for all of you 2 row drivers, but it gets hot as nuts in the back without
2) Driver safety features (blind spot, lane assist, radar cruise, auto braking, etc)
3) Dump Entune and all of its ������������������������������

4) Both 2nd row seats should slide forward, not just one

Yup. Just did that mod. I am very happy with the results.

I dislike the tough T imprints on top of the rear bumper, an aftermarket one will solve that.

Power retractable outside mirrors. It’s kinda hard to believe that an SUV doesn’t come with these. Locking gas flap. Folks who need gas know the 4runners are easy targets, unless you put an aftermarket locking cap on, mine has tool marks from someone trying to get my gas, twice.

Ugh. There is that spot between 10 and 11 o'clock on the temp dial. Bugs the crap out of me. One click to the left and it's a bit too chilly. One click to the right and it's a bit too warm. It's just that one spot.

I really miss my info panel that was on my 2014 TEP where the clock is. It displayed temp and miles to empty and included a compass. Not sure why that was dropped....

It was dropped because that stuff was moved to the gauge cluster. It wasn't there in early 5th gens.

I know the power is lacking, the infotainment is outdated, the gauge cluster screen is a joke as is that of the Nav, it could use a power lift gate, power folding seats, and a myriad of other features that many have come accustom to having in other vehicles. But at the end of the day that's simply not what the 4Runner is about and even though the 5th Gen has grown extremely long in the tooth compared to most current vehicles, it still sells in droves and there's no end in sight with those numbers.

For me personally, if I could only have one demand for the current 5th Gen it would be better headlights. We all know they are horrible and need to be improved upon but we won't see that until the 6th Gen unfortunately. I'd be up for some power folding side mirrors as well if I am being honest, but apparently there's a pretty involved hack for that should I feel like tearing into it.

I also miss the ability to monitor individual tire pressure on the dash display like I had on my Tacoma.

No TPMS read out and no TPMS for spare - really? Since the spare is mounted with the valve stem up - it's impossible to read without lowering; so this is the one you would want above the others. Sure you could probably flip spare over, but rim is subject to damage.

I wish my 2018 Pro came with a decent factory stereo. A sunroof. I wanted a sunroof and negotiated for one with a Toyota warranty. Digital tire pressure readout.

FWIW, you can monitor the TPMS read out from a ScanGaugeII (along with a ton of other things). I know, it sucks it isn't built into the 4Runner, but this is a decent workaround.

I don't normally use mine to monitor just tire pressures, but you can if you want to (like in my photo). I normally monitor Daily MPG, Tank MPG, Instant MPG, and transmission fluid temp.

True but not all of us want a limited. I bought a TRD Pro which carries the same price tag as a limited but with none of those features, well except for auto lights. I do love my Pro just wish it had a few more bell or at least whistles.

Coming from a 4th gen I miss the Torsen Center Diff. Not being able to unlock the center diff in a 4wd is the single worst thing about the 5th gen IMO.

The 5th gen Limited has the same Torsen Center diff as the 4th Gen V8 (AWD/4WD but no 2wd option). It is why we bought the Limited over the Trail as our 4R is on road 95% of the time.

Unless I'm just not aware of how to do it, a button or switch to turn all the interior lights on. What vehicle doesn't have that other than the 4Runner?
