Wheel fitment question

I'm pretty sure this will be OK but I wanted to double check. Will the 17" wheels from a 2011 4Runner fit a 2004 4Runner SR5 that originally came with 16" wheels?

Crap, I just realized they are a different overall diameter. I thought the 2011 wheels were 65 sidewall but they are 70. How much difference will that make (stock suspension)?

I think you'll be ok with the new wheels and stock suspesion. Post some pictures when you have them mounted

the 265-70-16 is 30.6 inches the 265-70-17 is 31.6 inches, you can (and I did) run a full 265-70-17 on a stock T4R 2003 and newer. I ran that size for over a year before we lifted it, and they never rubbed once.

Like this? No rubbing at all on my 2wd T4R and they fill out the wheel wells nicely. Plus, the offset is slightly different so they sit out a little more flush to the outside of the fenders (like it you put on a small wheel spacer). Looks great IMO

I'm running 265/70/17 yoko geolander AT-S on stock suspension and sport wheels and they rub even after bumper trimming and moving the wheel well covers forward, so YMMV depending on the particular tire and wheel combination. I'm not sure of the offset of the newer 4runner wheels

Are you running wheel spacers by chance?
