Wheel offset vs rubbing

I'm in the market for some new wheels, and am considering getting something with more negative offset than OEM, to move the tires out towards the Limited flare outer edge.

But it looks like that would cause rubbing at the front portion of the flare and at the infamous pinch weld.

Any thoughts on whether it's worth the trimming work to have the wider stance? Or should I just get OEM wheels and leave well enough alone (I guess I can always get spacers later, but I'd prefer to get negative offset to start with if I am going to push the tires outward).

For reference, I run an aftermarket wheel that is 16x8 -10 offset. It sits the wheel perfectly at the edge of limited flares, wearing a 265/75R16. I only rub, OCCASIONALLY, on the driver side pinch weld. I am not lifted. It rubs so infrequently/inconsistently, I haven't bothered clearancing or lifting or caring. It's almost exclusively while turning fairly hard and the driver's side wheel is flexed upwards - say going up a parking garage ramp, WHILE turning sharp. Day to day, there are often trips I never hear it.

Awesome, that's almost exactly my setup, I'm running the same size tire and am considering the 16x8 -6 offset Level 8 Strike 6. So that's very useful feedback.

What wheels are you running, out of curiosity?
