wheel spacers question

I want to know if wheel spacers are really needed when upgrading to 285s. Iv got LC 8 wraps in the back and 883s up front. How much rubbing would there be without spacers. And also if I do get spacers which is better, Allpro or Spidertrax. Bout 30 difference in price.

Usually 285s will rub on the front upper control arm. If they do then you will need new wheels with less backspacing or spacers. The big problem with spacers is that they can cause more rubbing on the wheelwells when turning. This is caused from the larger arc caused by moving the wheel outward.

I have the spydertrax and they are well made. I have not seen the allpro but from the site they look nice too. Allpro offers different sizes too. Whatever spacers you buy, get the hub centric ones.

thanks for the quick reply. On allpros website im confused which spacer is the one id need. the first one or the second one. There is a 10 dollar difference.
