i have a 2010 4runner with 2.5 frt spacer lift can i fit 285/70r17 tires without having to install wheel spacers. On my stock rims? I am wandering will the sidewall on the 285s rub the upper control arms?

I have the 3/2 spacer lift on mine and have 305/65/17's. No wheelspacers and no rubbing on control arms. Had to do ALOT of fender liner adjusting/trimming tho. You will have to do some liner stuff with your set up as well I think but make sure you figure out the right offset and backspacing.

I think it also depends on the tire and how good an alignment you get. I got aftermarket UCAs and only experience a little rubbing at full lock to passenger side in reverse with 285/70 Duratracs.

Same here with 2.5/1.5 and tires 285/70/17 geolander a/t s. After spidertrax I got even more rubbing so more trimming :)

thanks alot Guys! This forum has been a tremendous amount of help, but i do still have to figure out my back spacing and worse case senerio ill just by after market wheels that are 8in wide and it will move my center out about a half inch, then i know i will clear.

one more question does any of yall know if 285s cooper st maxx would fit with my setup or will it potentially cause more problems than a lesser tread all terrain
