wheel/tire upgrade and gas mileage

just wondering if anyone had any input on this. I'm looking to put some 18 inch moto metal 951's or kmc rockstar's on my yota with some 265/60/18 tires

how much of an effect will this have on the gas mileage?

If the new rims are not much heavier than stock, then you should not see much change because your tire diameter remains the same.

wheel and tires weights are going to be higher...especially around the circumfrence of the wheel/tire combo.

Higher rotational mass+ higher unsprung weight= more gas needed.


It will turn gas mileage....just depends on the difference in weights between stock and aftermarket.
