Cool, let me know asap please , since I work in a hospital it's really hard to take off on short notice.
I like the camping part, since I haven't really done it in a long time. Used to go up to boundary waters (when I was single), but since the child came, never really gone camping. I have a friend who drives Rover, i'll mention to him he always go where I go. Like us he's got kids except he's got two , one 4 and another one just turned 1 but he's cool. He happens to work at a hospital too so he has to give an early notice in order to take off.
I am looking to driving up probably on Thursday (since it's quite a ways) spend the night at a hotel then maybe hook up with you on Friday morn, go wheelin then pitch tent Fri wheel Sat and pack up Sun. Or I wouldn't mind meeting with you Fri around noon we'll try leave the house early , hook up with you then go wheelin til we pitch tent. Wheel Sat and pack up Sun. Whichever works best.
Oh and by the way, the area that you intend to go are there grocery place to shop, just wondering if I should bring everything with me.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you p53mustang but I did my lift yesterday. But I talked to the wife and she said the best time of the year foe the color change is the last two weeks of Sep. to the first week of Oct. She would rather go that last week of Sep. Can you and your friend get that off. As far as the trip up if you can I would say head up on Thurs. The hotels around here are cheap and we have one that is less than 2 miles away (right at the end of our road). What do you do at the hospital (wife wants to know)? By the way my name is Jeremy and my wife is Lisa and our daughter is Keely. If you need something special bring it with you if not we have 3 grocery stores here that we can hit before we head out. But there are more on the way and some around where we will be.

Just got home from work today and i'll try to ask day off for the last week of September i'll try and shoot for the 29 and 30 (Thu and Fri) and i'll get back with you soon as I can. I spoke with my friend about it last Sat. and he said incidentally he's off one week first or 2nd week of October (not sure I forgot). Iforgot when cause that's when we make our annual long jetski ride. We usually ride from Waukegan harbor all the way to downtown Chicago to watch the Chicago air and water show (about 40 miles one way) way worth the trip. Are you in on this too , if so i'll tell you more about it when we get up there.

I work in the surgical department at one of the area hospital and my friends name is Jonald and he works as an E.R. nurse . The lift went in great, almost perfect. I have another thread under off roading labeled OME install. I posted some pics and comments there. Yeah let me know I thing it will be a fun time. If it falls through do you snowboard or ski? We have five ski resorts hear that are cool and close. Three of them are within 10 miles of my front door. Thats cool to meet another Jeremy. But just let us know.

it's Jeremy here too, okey I spoke with our coordinator today (she makes the sched) she said not possible.
but i'm clinging on to one last hope, I put in a call and left messages on a couple of our per diem staff , and begged them to at least pick up either one if not two days for me (Thurs and Fri). Our coordinator says as long as I can find anybody to work for me she'll let me go (even if the per diems will cost hospital more money).
Otherwise , maybe we'll get up there for ski trip. I do ski okey, but doesn't snowboard, I would love to learn how to though. I remember having been up to powderhorn before maybe 1997, when I was new to skiing. Nice place.
Jeremy could you please let me know when snow starts to come and when it's good to start skiing, so that way this will be my back up plan just in case no one will be able to pick up my shift .
Or how are you about short notice going off roading say Fri or weekend. I'm off most weekends and if we get a low census days say Fri maybe I can take off , my wife can get off work easily anyday. Only if it's okey (short notice) otherwise I understand we all got responsibilities and things to do I my self is not too flexible.
Have a good one bud, and oh! by the way nice lift, do you intend to replace wheels to a little bit bigger size? just wondering.

Hey , it's Jeremy here too. Okey got good news. Just found out today that my co-worker (per diem) will be able to pick up Sept. 30 (friday), unfortunately the 29 she can't and I still can't find anybody at this time to pick it up.
Anyhow i'm emailing you to let you know i'm still up for offroading in your area , if you're still up to it. I am trying to switch with somebody so I would be able to leave Thursday at around 3 or maybe 4 p.m. spend the night at some hotel and meet with you on Friday morning. Now just in case if it gets too cold outside to camp will there be an area motel/ hotel where we could spend the night Fri or Sat. (just in case). I still plan on staying up there til Sunday. Let me know what you think. And if it's okey with you , you can email me (private) with the details , your address or where you'd like to meet, and let me know too the area hotels so I could book ahead .
And oh by the way, how's the rig with your new lift ? ever tried off roading on it yet? ever tackled that water in your pics?

Hey ! Jeremy it's me Jeremy, I was trying to rent an RV down here and I don't think this one will work out. In other words they want an arm and a leg. There are only two places around here that will rent RV trailers so not much competition and consumers like me don't really have much choice.
Anyhow I was resourceful enough to come up with a rental place that is more reasonable for the same kind RV trailer. The only downside is it's in Escanaba. I can pick it up as early as Fri at 0800 and based on Mapquest it's about 3-3.5 hours drive to your place, meaning we'll probably hook up with you around noon instead of 0800 or 0900. I don't know where we're heading on to from your place ? how many hours drive? or if it will take a lot off on our precious time sightseeing and off-roading? My other option is I guess to go to a hotel somewhere at the end of the day and hook up with you again the next day,now this way we definitely can be at your place by 0800-0900 and we can have a lot of time offroading and sightseeing. Either one of this choices will work out with me and my friend is agreeable too. However i'll need a feedback from you as to what's best to do in order for us to have as much time on the trail as possible (and of course i'll need you to show me your lift and other add on so i'll have an idea what to do with my rig. Is there a hotel/motel close enough to where we're heading ? AHHHHHHHHHH decision, decision !!!!!!
Don't get me wrong if it's just me heck i'll throw my sleeping bag anywhere I can sleep i'm just concern about the kids (mine and my friends) and the wife's not really big time camper but game anyway. I just don't want things to go wrong we're thinking about making this trip one of our yearly trips. We usually go on a long trip to ski in winter time , jetski trip summer time and of course disney trip at least every two years (for the wives and the kids).

I'm not too sure if you had replied to my last post, I saw on the reply column your screen name. However i'm not sure if I was log in on the same forum at the same time cause there's nothing in my screen from you. Anyhow i'm not sure if we're still on and if so what you have to say about my queries. I would appreciate a response by the end of this week. If you can't go that's fine i'll understand it's hard enough as it is with a family (schedule wise or being impromtu) I can't imagine how much more it would be with school. We can always go some other time say like summer , i'll take my jetski's and bikes and my 4R or course so we could have variety. I would appreciate a response by the end of the week , so I could plan a different trips and make reservation, we would probably just go up to Door County in Wi.
No hard feelings here man, just give me a heads up, us here are really set to go somewhere that weekend.
 
Hey Jeremy. Sorry I did not reply to your last message, I did not get notified through my email that you had posted a new message. Just so it doesn't happen again my email is [email protected]. Anyway I just found out yesterday that I might have to cancel our trip that weekend. My wife is in her best friends wedding next summer and they are having an engagement party that same weekend. It would not be so bad except she lives in Grand Rapids. Not 100% we are tring to make arrangements for Keely(our daughter) because the party is at night and we won't have anybody there to watch her. But there is still winter for skiing and snowboarding. In the winter my wife has off during the week so anything is possible. I will let you know as soon as I can if anything changes. it's okey, I understand ourselves either are not as flexible. We always plan way ahead. Winter sounds good , usually we up around the Dells area and ski most of the day and waterpark (indoors) afterwards. Have any idea of a lodging place around you with pool (indoor for the kids, and the big boys) ? I know it's cold country up there but the snow amount is well worth it and it will be nice to meet and know somebody from around there , and that will hopefully goes to you too , so you'll know somebody from around here.
Take care and have fun , we're going somewhere that weekend I'm just trying to make some research and phone calls where we can have more bang for the bucks, U.P. is not out of the plans i'm checking out some bread and breakfast places and we'll just probably drive the Sienna. Hopefully you'll find somebody to watch over Keely.
