So much fun but damn what a mess to clean truck yesterday lol. 3hrs of scrubbing and there is still mud in places lol. Not that i care but that muddy water got everywhere!

I feel your pain brother, it took me like 4 hours and I think it is still dirty, but I was able to plasti dip my grill and the back emblem. I have night shot I'll try to get better pictures, love how it looks.

I stopped by Koz's place to wash my truck. Took about 3 hrs but he just wiped a few spots off his GX and was done in 10 mins.
I forgot to mention that I found a tripod someone left at the pit. If it's yours or you know who it belongs to, let me know.
Bobby, I think it is Francisco's (paquitox) he said he had a tripod, or Patricks one of them had tripod

Lol try clay mud. That doesn't clean off easily at all...
Alex, what they saying about ur truck, is it cover by warranty?

I haven't washed mine yet. Haven't had a chance and I'm wearing that mud proudly lol. I am thinking of doing a thorough power wash to it today, underside, roof, everything. Then tomorrow I'll handwash and vacuum interior. Or, I'll just do it all tomorrow. Any suggestions on washing under the hood? I don't want to screw anything up.

Make sure ur car is soaked very well before u go through power wash otherwise all this dirt will stretch the paint

Simple Green with a soft bristle brush should take care of the engine bay. Wet the engine bay, spray SG and let it work for a few mins. Use the brush on the tougher spots.
***Warning***
Use a regular hose and be careful around the alt, battery and other sensitive electronics. Spray some WD40 on the alternator and electronic connections. Run the motor for 5-10 mins right after to dry everything out.

Yeah, I plan on power washing it at one of those DIY car washes. I'll let the pre-soak sit while I wash the undercarriage. Then I'll wash the body. Then I'll hand wash it at home.

You should blame it on hurricane and say that it was flooded and you couldn't get out and that what happen and they should cover it.

How come only two trucks had issues with the water? Did you guys go thru something deeper than everyone else or was it just bad luck?

My truck. I'm pissed at the service guys but the story is too long to type. Long story short, the dumbass put a hold on the service to have the warranty rep come out and look at it even though at 8:30 this morning I called and said "I want to forgo the warranty, just fix it so I can get home" yet the service rep (Darnell at Holman Toyota/Scion in Mount Laurel, NJ) put the hold on it anyway, saying that his manager wouldn't let him lift the hold. I'm mighty pissed about that. Lee has been gracious to let Sarah and I stay at his house, but I'm not looking at moving down here! I WANT TO GO HOME GOD DAMN IT.
So they want $1,007.33 for rear rotors and pads, and to flush and fix the transmission. I called major bullsh*t and demanded Darnell's manager. He was rather apologetic after I told him what is going on. I'm getting a discount. It's my damn vehicle and it will be fixed how I say, not what they think is best.
I remember Toyota service being enjoyable...

Did the brakes get messed up too or were they just due to be replaced? Hope you get it back soon, any idea when?
Anyone else have problems with their trucks? Ken, yours was making a noise too, right? I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. Since I've hit pavement I've driven about 220 miles or so. Everything seems normal but I'm worried if any fluids got contaminated or anything. I don't think I can check the trans fluid (sealed transmission?)

I find out tomorrow. But my first thoughts are that water got in the MAS, and threw a CE light. The CE light cleared after work today, however the transmission is really shifting badly, after each upshift in normal driving it feels like going to neutral. I drop it off at Galaxy Toyota in Eatontown, NJ tomorrow at 7am.
I did hit some some puddles quickly, but hard to nail the cause at the moment.
