Wheels back from powdercoat...

I just got my FJ alloys back from powder coat. I went with a color called Thundercloud metallic and a clear coat on top. It is really amazing looking up close and these crappy cell phone pics do no justice, but I will post better ones tomorrow, the sun is now gone. Teaser pics-- (you get the idea)

Looking forward to some better pics. They almost look stock in those pics :)

I was able to shoot a quick pick of mine before I took off this morning:

I really want to see a shot of the full vehicle since you've got a BP like me.

Looks good, but why powdercoat a color that looks so close to the original color? I like the machined look of the FJ wheels. I have a set that was reconditioned and then powdercoated clear. The company says the finish is much more durable than the original clearcoat.

It is actually a lot darker than stock. I am going to put a stock FJ rim next to those tomorrow so yall will see. Cell phone pics do no justice. And the finish is great too, you cannot tell at all in the pics put the clear finish is very nice. It has more of a sheen in the middle then my stock trails. The finished edge of the trails popped more, but that was almost chrome so there is not much of a contest.

No the wheels are not any wider , but do have a different backspace / offset.

I had them on my 06 4R. 17".

Did you paint these yourself? Looks like original OEM painted flat? Looks nice, might do my own if it's easy :guitar3:

I wasn't really much of a fan of the FJ wheels on the 5th gens but Hawkdog, those wheels came out nice after the powdercoat and Look really good on your T4R.
