OK here we go again...

The first thing I am going to do when I get my Tax Ret ..I am getting new rims for my baby. A while ago I wanted to go bigger with 20" but the ones I really like are running to high in price right now...so I will just do it later. I have narrowed the options to these on 17" . Would you guys help me decide.

1. Incubus Krawler:

Really like the price $500 shipped with lugs...I do like them a lot they are very stylish...but the only thing I don't like too much are the lips.

2. Fuel D532 Hostage

There is nothing I dont like about these ones...but they are $200 more than the first...$700 for the set shipped

Wow thats a tough call between the 2. I like parts of both. I am a fan a less spokes, so I like the top with 7 vs the bottom with 8. I kinda agree with the lips on the top one, however they match pretty well with the outer rim as well.

If you could take the top wheel center, place inside the bottom wheel and have a polished lip that would be awesome.

Tough call though. You wont go wrong either way.. The bottom wheel resemble whoever just put 18"XD's on their runner, so you would have a slight idea of what that looks like.

just save and wait, there is usually a sale on tirerack and u can always get something else better/ newer. i did it for 2.5 years, look at tirerack and discount tires, saw the rims i liked, wait for price to drop, had a choice between 2 rims and decided to hop on tirerack and saw the rims i really like went from 350 to 295 to 250 to 200 then 160, and u know what, it then droped down to 99 each so i just got them. waiting might be hard but in the end itll pay off. 20s and 22s are getting cheaper, but the tires are still alot.

The inner lip is what makes me hesitate a little about the first set (Incubus)...if it was just plain black or silver...I don't know...sometimes I just like them straight up but when I start looking at them really good I see something I dont like...:(

I think the second wheel looks better, like sparky said they look similar to these which I think look really good.

If the lip bothers you now then that's prolly gonna be the first thing you notice every time you drive it. At least that's how I feel when I buy stuff with details I don't like. Also those stripes are going to be the most visible part of the wheel/tire since most of the time the black will blend in. It's pretty much all you see on the trucks on google images that have them.

You could also use that extra $200 (compared to the other set) to get the lip powdercoated. I know you don't wanna get new wheels just to have to coat them but it's an option.

I understand your point and agree with you But..a year has passed and they still at the same price...and maybe by the time those rims (the 20"s I like and tires) drop on the price I will be ready to get me a new ride :) due to the fact that I am passing this one to my oldest son soon...maybe by spring of 2012 so I might be getting me something new in Dec of 2012..maybe...So I am just gonna go ahead and grab one of these..also I was just thinking if I end up getting 20"s anytime... just keep these for the winter.

The Fuel Hostage looks more "SUV/truck" to me, while the Incubus looks more "Chrysler 300".

My 2-cents...

Are these wheels on Tirerack.com?

One feature I love about tire rack is how you can see any of their wheels on a 4Runner.... and you can even choose your 4Runner color.

Its a great way to see how they will basically look on your ride.

I tried several websites including tirerack with no luck on finding any of these 2 to check them out on the runner. I think I just saw the all black Fuel one .

I voted Fuel.

Definitely not a fan of the whole checker pattern thing on the outer part of the incubus wheel. If it didn't have that part, like if it were just all black or something, then I would have voted incubus.

Good point and good idea I can maybe do it myself..... I really really like the face/spokes design and cetener cap of the Incubus. We'll see.

Same ovehere...like when I dont look at the lip...I like them better than the Fuel but again when I see the whole thing those checkers are kinda of a Big No No

Fuel D532 looks so bad ass and the black lip will make your tires look bigger

Good observation...thanks for voting. BTW I need to say it again...your 4runner is soo sexy...
