When do you guys wash your T4R?

whoa whoa polish twice a year? seriously? so i need to just get a good polish all around twice a year and thats it?

I wash mine in the afternoon (Friday) whenever the sun is not looking down on my driveway, dry it thereafter and park it inside my garage. If it needs waxing/detailing I do it inside the garage first thing in th AM (Saturday). As soon as I'm driving out in town, it rains! I'm in Guam

Yup, it's pretty much only necessary to polish twice a year. But, that depends on your definition of a polish. The TRUE meaning of a polish is an abrasive product that removes a very very thin coat of clearcoat to reveal the paint surface below. Meguiar's as well as a few other companies have been using the term polish for waxes and glazes. Weekly washing and waxing is not harmful at all, I personally think it's worse to leave stuff on the paint for too long due to contamination and etching.

What product, specifically, are you using to polish your car with?

its called: Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Polish (it says: Creates a deep, wet-look gloss) its step 2 in a 3 step process

step 1 is a cleaner description: removes bonded contaminents, swirls, scratches, and oxidation. So im thinking that would be the "real polish"?

Ah..okay, their step 2 is a glaze and it's fine to use that often though it's really not necessary either. It's mostly oils that make the paint wet and dark and really has no abrasives in it. Their step 1 is a chemical cleaner, so it's almost like a polish. Yeah, I know, it sounds complicated. I hope this was helpful.
