this is exactly what i would like to do with mine. So you had that long plate sticking out and the put a big square plate on top of it for the arb to sit on. did you bolt the plate to the truck or the weight of the battery is holding it? Is that a 98? my battery seems to be taking a lot of room, maybe its just the angle im looking at?
awesome idea thanks for sharing!
I bolted the plate down b/c if I had not the weight of the compressor on the other end would have tipped it over when I remove the battery. I also placed a bracket under the plate to support the overhung weight. I need to redo it, support the overhung weight a little more b/c it bounces around a little bit.
It's a '99. It appears your battery is taking up more room b/c it needs to be pushed over a tad. The battery I have is larger than the standard size so I know there's plenty of room. I would also point out you have a the fill caps on top of your battery. That might not allow you to push the battery over due to the bracket holding the battery down that goes between the two caps.
