Where do you keep your manuals?

I did search and did not find the pdf version of the manual in my search results.

It was not easily found in the thread referenced by nashman either.

On topic..........I keep it in the glove compartment as there is plenty of room for it and was where it was at. I've always kept them there and I thought most people do too.

For you all to complain about Nashman69's manuals and say it's a pain because you are too lazy to search is beyond my comprehension.He even told you exactly where to find it!Not easily found!All you had to do is read!!

He took the time and spent the money out of his own pocket to download those manuals for the forum members . We're not talking a couple of hours of work here or $5 he spent here . There were months of him downloading on weekends and no telling how much money, not to mention it had to be converted over. Other people helped him on that too after he downloaded it

. I have never been on another forum where they had all the factory manuals in pdf and html form because of the huge sacrifice and knowledge it takes to put them together. These are the EXACT same ones Toyota Service techs use and would cost thousands of dollars to buy.

I've actually been waiting for someone to whine, complain or make a comment about this thread being redundant, unnecessary, a waste of space, or for me to be called a re**** because I do not know how to properly conduct a search. I did not create this topic to cause controversy, and am not trying to create controversy with this post. I was really curious as to where people stored their manuals as I could not find a place that was convenient without using up all of the available space (i.e. glovebox or console).

It can be done via PM, but Id like for someone to give me a clear and logical explanation as to why this topic is unnecessary when I performed a search for something related to the topic at hand, and when I followed up that search looking for "5th gen 4runner manual+PDF+electronic version" and variations of those search terms and found nothing, and furthermore when directed to another thread in someones signature had to read through 5-6 pages of posts to find yet another reference to the pdf version of the manual that was buried on like page 2 or 3.

Who is it that deems a topic to be post-worthy anyway?

Anyway, no offense to the mods, and whoever is the "true owner", (not the wanna-be mods or owners), as a moderator on a guitar forum I know how much time and effort goes into that responsibility. Im pretty much signing off of this forum, not that it is a great loss as I have not contributed much, but I was looking forward to modding my 2011 TE and taking part in this forum as those mods progressed, but I have just seen too many posts by others be criticized, put down, or whatever you want to call it, and as a result really have no desire to take part in a forum where that kind of stuff takes place on such a frequent basis.

If you bothered to read my "speech" you'd see the answer was no, I did not start this thread looking for that kind of response. I wrote the initial post out of genuine curiosity as I had previously mentioned, but afterwards I realized there was a good chance that my post would be criticized by someone who did not deem it worthy.

Its also not about taking my ball and going home.

What it is about is the fact that often times when someone makes a post that some random (again, a person who is not a moderator, not is someone who hosts or otherwise contributes financially to this site) person thinks is redundant or unneeded there is more often than not a negative and insulting response.

I have a fairly thick skin, but the bottom line is, why should I, or any of the other newbies and lurkers who have yet to post but are watching this stuff go on be motivated to contribute or ask any question of any sort when we stand a more than fairly decent chance of getting insulted or be told that we have a stupid and redundant post ?

In regards to the aforementioned PDF files, sorry, but as someone else pointed out they were not found very easily, and the link was not labeled very clearly. Furthermore when you guys jump all over someone for not searching, you gotta keep in mind that some people may be older and may not have an easy time in finding information as you younger more internet savvy folks.
