Where have you guys bought parts from?

I recently purchased a 96 4rn'er and I need ( or should I say "want") to buy some stuff. First off I would like to get some new taillights. Probably something oem looking if not oem. Then I'll need a seat or maybe just seat covers, headlight housings, front and rear bumper, and so forth. Any good websites with good deals?

I didn't chime in because I figured someone would have suggested an ebay seller for led taillights by now (avoid neondials). They make ones that look just like the oem '01-02's but led. They look pretty good from what I've heard. If you want to go oem try shoptrd.com or 1sttoyotaparts. Seat covers...from what I've read wet okoles are the best. Look around for junkyards in your area for used parts. Someone here bought some stuff from this place and seemed satisfied http://www.certifit.com/

Uh oh why avoid neondials... I just ordered a LED tail light/ clear lights combo from them yesterday. I thought I had heard good things about them, and I was able to pick up the OEM style (red) LED tail lights and all four clear corners and turn signals for under $150.

That'd be me! If you need any parts (body panels, bumpers, headlights, taillights, etc.) then Certifit is the place to go! They sell NEW (in the box) parts for much cheaper than the dealer. I bought all of the parts that I needed to fix my wrecked 4Runner for $115....the dealer quoted me more than $750 for the same parts.

They should. FJ rims work on 3rd generation 4Runners (most 6 bolt Toyota wheels are interchangeable) , but are a little tucked in, compared to O.E. rims, without wheel spacers.

And bootown, thanks for the info on the seller. I thought I had heard good stuff about him in the past but I guess it couldn't be all good. Hopefully I'll have some better luck

Autozone for goodies like for cleaning and car wash supplies and products ( get $20 credit for every $100 I like that)

Ebay - for looks accesories and some other parts like airlfilters, light bulbs etc....

Got everything installed. Check out the gallery page, I just added a few pictures up there.

Oh yeah, pertaining to the quality of the parts - The clear corners fit with a bit of coaxing, the supplied orange bulbs weren't the right ones, but that didn't bother me because the original clear bulbs fit in which is the look I was going for. Clear signals fit well, and the LED tail lights were probably the best made parts. Can't complain since I got it all for less than $150.
