I have spent days on the internet from Auto trader to KBB to this forum. The values are all over the place. I have a 2006 SR5 auto 4.0 with 36k miles. I am 64 and it has been well taken care of. Just looking for a fair price to ask?? And for the mods, if this is not allowed or needs moved please do so. Thanks for any help you might give.

Depends on your location and how fast you want it to sell.
Without knowing this, and assuming 4wd, I'd list around ''$20k - firm''?

KBB values are completely unrealistic. I personally ignore them, whether buying or selling. Go to Edmunds.com and book out your runner there.
It takes into consideration your zip code, as well as all other details of the vehicle. It will give you three values, a private party sale value, a trade-in value, and a retail value it the vehicle is for sale by a dealership. I have found that their values are quite realistic.

Also look it up on Nadaguides. This is what my bank uses to find te value of vehicles.
Thanks for the reply guys. I would be comfortable at 20k. It is very well taken care of. Just have to decide now what to do. I am debating between two totally different options. A new 4runner or a used 09 -10 Audi A6 with the 3.0T. Getting old so comfort is becoming a plus but I do have my eye on a 2011 4runner with leather and all the other toys. Whatever I buy will take me past 70 years old so who knows what things will be like then. Of course if the world ends on Dec. 21st 2012 it won't matter:thanks:

I took my Dodge to Carmax and they offered me more than Edmunds and KBB were showing. I sold my truck on the spot, I took the check and went without wheels for a couple of days while I looked for a 4runner.

Thanks ogden, much appreciated. Never heard of carmax. Will check it out. For kava, not posted or listed anywhere yet. I just asked the guys what it was worth because I had no idea and all the books, KBB, Nada etc were all so different. It is an all black SR5 with running boards and rear spoiler. Has newer Bridgestone dueler at revo's. Took some advice on here and cut the resonator off but didn't like it so had Toyota put a TRD exhaust on. No door nicks dings or scratches. Wheels are peeling like they all did. Other than that I will post description and photos when I try to sell it. Should be in the next week or so.
