Where to buy original seat upholstery?

The front seats in my 2002 are pretty shot. I'm planning on replacing them with a nice set of Scheel Mann seats, but I'd like to have the centers of the grey leather seats upholstered in the factory original cloth, so that they tie into the rest of the interior and look less "aftermarket".

Anybody know where you can buy original Toyota upholstery? SMS Auto Fabrics has a lot of vintage domestic stuff, but I cant find an similar supplier for Japanese fabrics.

Good luck. Let us know what you do find. I found a cover out of a junk yard that was one year off. Close but not exact for sure.

A take off is probably the best bet from one of the parts sellers or eBay. So many of these prints just don’t exist anymore.

The next option will be a full re upholstery job so that everything matches. Local guy quoted me 1350 last year. Material looked good, but not anywhere near as durable as the original.

Leather is a more straightforward venture for sure. Damn I hate how hot and uncomfortable leather gets…..

wow I have always wondered about their seats, post back if you do decide to go for it with Scheel Mann.

I would contact them and see if they have samples of their fabrics.

Wedge Brackets makes some seat brackets and sliders that will drop right in to the 3rd Gens with the Scheel Mann seats. I have no personal experience, but at least one member on here used their brackets with some Recaro LS seats and they worked out well.

The stock, out of the box gray seats look great from Scheel Mann, and I'll pull the trigger here shortly. I was just hoping to find some factory fabric to do the centers so they match the rears. My back seats are in excellent shape, so no need to touch them.

If all you want to do is the center inserts, I would keep my eye out in the local junkyards or people doing part outs and get the factory back seats covers. Most have far less wear and tear on them and there is far less demand like there is for front seats. Any decent upholstery shop should be able to make the center inserts from that much material.
