1996 4Runner 5VZE FSM?
Does anyone have a PDF copy of the FSM for a 1996 4runner? I recently bought a 1996 4runner so I downloaded the one from the wayback machine for "1996-2002" 4runner, but it seems to be specific to the later model 3rd Gens and some of the repair procedures don't match my 1996. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is an online site with all part schematics and OEM part numbers. Been using it for years.

First-gen FSM are very similar on mechanicals, but there are some differences especially on electrical. i.e., CSI control and some wire colors on 1988 are different from earlier version's.

I have a 1986, 1987 and an early 1989 (first gen), and I haven't found any differences in the wiring between the 87 and 89, so the 1988 you can download should work for 99+% of your needs.
I have paper copies of the 1988 FSMs (both books, 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder) as well as a 1984 truck FSM that helps with some of the 1984-1986 wiring differences (diagnostic connectors, etc.). I'm in the Atlanta area and will let anyone look at them here or can PM pics of specific pages if anyone needs them.

Found my full paper FSM's on craigslist after a month or two of searching. Not sure about the dealer though

I got this from a friend who is the Service & Parts manager for a couple of Toyota/Lexus dealerships here in CO and it was backed up by another member here who works in a similar position at another dealership.
Seems to depend on the year and model as to how easy they are to come by. It took just over a year and nearly $500 to lay hands on a full FSM set for my 2006 4runner.
Here is the search that I used on eBay:

Over 7 months and they are still claiming they shipped after sending an email saying that the set was damaged and could not be sold. That fight continues...

- Craigslist.org (as mentioned by others) can use similar search to the ebay syntax above but swap "|" for the commas in the () or lists IE: the ebay "(4runner,4 runner)" becomes "(4runner|4 runner)" on Craigslist.

Have found a couple floating around still but they're hard looking
I would love a 2002 FSM. The only downloaded one I found was 1996. I have a discount code through Staples and can get things copied there for 2.5c per black and white copy and binding is 35% off. As much as computers are quick, working on the car is easier with a book
