Where to mount brake controller - 4th Gen.

I mounted my P3 controller on my fuse box cover, I don't have a spare cover even though it's easy to mount and dismount from it's mount I leave it in the 4R all the time. I have never had any problem with the cover falling out when towing even when I've had to slam the manual control on and cruising logging roads 20 to 30k out to campsites. The 2 times it did fall out was when I was actually off-roading on something you would never take trailer down unless you wanted it deconstructed.

I also have mine mounted on the fuse box cover. It has never fallen off in over three years.

I just got my P3 today and am considering using the bigger bracket and just using heavy duty velcro instead of screwing thru the dash, and mounting it right above the fuse cover so i can route the wire thru the hole in the cover. Has anybody tried using velcro? It seems light enough and I will only be using it when pulling my travel trailer.

I would personally use the screws over velcro since velcro could come loose when using the manual lever in an emergency situation.
