Where's the love?

I just noticed that the "C" pillar on my TE is naked. The SR5s have a badge on there, so do the Limiteds and TRD Pros. What's up with the Trail not having any badging to set it apart? Not that I need it, I know what I have -just an observation. I wonder what the deal is there?

When we first looked at our Trail one of the first things we noticed was the lack of emblems and how "clean" and sleek it looked.

One of the few times my husband and I agreed on a particular vehicle the first time we saw it.

Besides, I had a car with badging on it and everyone still asked if it had a Hemi while standing next to the badge that said "Hemi". :pound:

Badges! We don't need no stinking badges!

They move that useless badge to the hood.....

I debadged my SR5 within the first week of my ownershiper of my 2015...

there is a guy on her selling broken emblems you can just piece them together

It would be appreciated if you were more specific with your post since a link to mine is included in this thread.

To be clear of the 50 plus emblems that have been bought from shapeways I have not received any complaints of them being broken ;): Just sayin

OK you are not SPECIFICALLY the guy I was talking about. Sorry for the confusion

I guess one could put those tacky gold "Limited" emblems so popular in the late 90's - early 2k's on the pillar and then paint some TRD emblems gold to go above them and then every 17 year old kid that see's you driving around would tell his buddies at school he saw a gold edition TRD 4Runner yesterday. :frisky:

Now my life feels like an empty shell after finding out my TE is missing 'something'.

Damn you Toyota! Just when I thought I had it all figured out!

One of my sons was laughing when I asked him about badges on cars. He said that his friend got his truck stuck in the mud one night and they were deciding on who to call to help them out. They called one of their friends who had just got a used Jeep Grand Cherokee that had 4 wheel drive.

When their friend got there with his Jeep, he couldn't help them out. One of the friends says "Hey, what do you mean you don't have 4 wheel drive, it says 4x4 on your truck sides?" The friend laughs and says "Oh, I bought those at Autozone for 8 bucks, I thought they looked good!"

LMAO - these are all great. I actually like the clean look, and yeah, the hood scoop and different-colored bumper cap under the grill kinda identify it. I guess the FJs get badging 'cause they all look exactly alike for the most part (sort of in FJ withdrawal here).
