SR5, Sport or Limited? Obviously there are going to be less limiteds due to price. The Sport offers some great extras but the SR5 offers great value. So - Which one do you own? Why?

How'd you score one in Germany? Was it previously imported? There's another guy on these boards who is US Army stationed in Germany, I think he imported his.

SR5

I made a mistake by purchasing the SR5...all the chrome, the boring wheels, black mirrors...just to name a few.

All the important things are there...but I want The Limited.

There is a group here that sells US spec Toyotas called Cars International. I bought mine 2nd hand from someone who had purchased mine new.

I voted Limited, obviously (see sig).

I also own a Tundra, 2000 MY, that is an SR5. Was familiar with that trim/feature level when I started looking at midsized SUVs so I started with the Sport level when I first went to the Toyota dealer...By the time I was done specifying what I wanted on my T4R, it ended up that buying a pre-loaded Limited was cheaper than buying a basic Sport and adding everything I wanted to it. After that, all I had to do was add the non-Toyo goodies like floor liners, vent visors and my Sirius setup - no worries about stuff like the fog lamps, sunroof, nav sys, etc - they were already all included on the Limited we found in the computer and ordered/shipped up here for us to buy.

Don't get me wrong, the Sport was cool, but the non-functional hood scoop was not worth all the additional money it would have taken to get it to the level that I wanted from the get-go based on the available inventory of Sports when I was shopping. The $1700+/- I saved by "just" getting a factory loaded Limited (vs a Sport with tons of factory add-ons post-sale) I could BUY a Sport hood and have it painted to match if it were that important to me - which is wasn't. I have no plans to add anything else to my T4R aside from *maybe* some LED interior lights - though I found a guy locally that can hook me up on a remote start system for a decent price...I may look into it further this Summer. Since Toyota doesn't even offer that on T4Rs (that I am aware of), that's neither here nor there when comparing trim levels...and I do like the remote start feature on the 2 GMs I own that have it.

Limited. Needed the side-curtain airbags as I have a son that will be driving soon enough. Wanted a sunroof. Needed the V8 for towing. Figured 4wd was good for trips to MI and WI. Kind of regret black from the keep-it-clean view. You would think I would learn as it's my third black vehical! But it just gleamed at me at the benz dealer. I couldn't say no.

Having traded in a loaded Lexus LS400, I had to have a Limited T4R with all the good stuff :) I have not been disappointed.

After 2 SR5's and coming from a RR, The Limited was the good choice for me. Loved the SR5's that I had but the Limited is just that much better, no regrets as its a great truck with an awesome V8, sooooooo smooth.

I have the Limited with x-reas and rear air suspension. I want a hood with a scoop though. I would have bought a Sport if I could have found one with side airbags. That was actually one of my highest prorities followed by x-reas and the color. I compromised on color (I wanted black or shadow mica).

I buy my runners used, so I figure might as well get the loaded limited, even though that's not cheap either. Damn toyota's, I wish they didn't hold thier value so high. I love em!! :D

Everytime I think about purchasing a new truck, I know I could get a new Ford, Chevy, etc..... for the price of a used runner. I just know I wouldn't be happy with anything other than my T4R.

Got the Sport.

Didn't feel that I needed all the extra options of the Limited. Wanted cloth this time around when trading in, figured biggie would be heated seats that I'd add on later.

Also didn't want the SR5 as I like the mono paint look and not the black mirrors and chrome trim, plus the hood scoop (although nonfunctional) was a cool touch to me as well as some other aesthetic touches.

Limited. Thought about the V6 SE at first, but wife wants leather, navi... for a little more in price, so might as well go for a Limited, down side mine doesn't have X-REAS....

Did a lot of research on all the models. The SE had the most of what I was after. Black interior,X-Reas,larger brakes.Got the price I was after from the dealer we like. Airbag package was already on it, along with sport pedals, exhaust tip and bug deflector.V6 tows our boat great and gets 20MPG when it ain't!:D
