Which tire would you buy?

Best overall tire would be the Michelin for longevity. I think, if it were me, I'd probably look at the Michelin closely...
I've done Nitto's on my F350 (sold) and loved the tire. Lasted about 45,000 miles while I had the truck; probably had another 5,000 in 'em.
You might also consider the Michelin LTX A/T2, thought it may ride a bit harder than other options.

The nitto's should be nicer on your wallet and I can tell you they are the best snow tire out of the 3 options here!

I had a set of Michelin LTX's on my Ford Explorer. Great smooth tire, but they definitely did not track that great in the snow. Rain or wet roadway was great, really smooth on the highway, but snow, not so much.

Neither of these have you asked about but I do a fair amount of snow covered road driving so I thought I would drop at least 2 cents. I had a set of Goodyear SilentArmors on my 3rd gen for two years before I traded it in. I could have easily gotten a third strong winter season and marginal but still good for a fourth winter judging by the wear I had. They kicked ass in the snow! BFG AT's have been really nice to me too they seem to wear a bit quicker than the SilentArmors.

You want "good winter traction" but you aren't looking at actual winter tires? OK....

LTX M/S2 tires are very quiet and smooth on highway. I have these on my Tacoma. I will put a set of LTX A/T2 for the 4Runner.

Buy some winter tires. Unstoppable in 4WD.
Buy another set of passenger tires. Best of both worlds.
The best winter traction is achieved with honest to God snow tires, not all season tires. I run Michelin LTX MS/2 in the summer. In the winter, I run Nokian snow tires.

Between those I'd definitely go for the AT3's. My family members have run them in the PA winters for two years now and are very happy with their performance

I put the MS2's on my LE at about 800 miles and ran them about 16000 miles before changing rims and put on the AT3's. The MS2 is a great road tire, I've used them for years. They are good on hard packed snow and icy conditions, but don't do well in the deep snow or mud. I've been driving the AT3's about 8000 miles now and I think they are a better all around tire. Much better in the deep snow, not much difference in dry or wet conditions. I glad I made the switch.
