which Zaino do i need? Detailers, i need your help.

i'd like to take zaino products a try. i dont want to clay for now,i dont think my truck needs one. so basically, which zaino to get? im confused with so many Z's on thier site.

Id get the kit for $85 bucks or so. I just got it and Zainoed my 4 Runner and it looks awesome! If you dont want the kit, then Z2 Pro and/or Z5 Pro with ZFX will do you just fine. Z6 is amazing stuff as well. The ZFX basically "cures" the Zaino almost instantly. Even though yours is new I would still clay to get EVERYTHING off before you lay the good stuff down. I did and it was totally worth it. I have some pics and a list of what I did in this thread if you want to take a look.

I agree on the clay, you need it!

I also agree thet the ZFX added to the Z5 or Z2 is what you need and the Z6 (the enhancer I think) is great stuff.

Just get the kit.

the Zaino Clay bar, i dont see any lube for it. is it just use it as is? does the clay itself is lubed?
almost ready to order.

edit: i learned it out. i have to use Z7 (wash mix with water) as a lube. ordered the kit and extra clay.

What I like to do is clay as I wash it with Z7, then rinse and re-wash. I find it easier than using a spray bottle with Z7 or even Z6 as lube. I used 1/2 of a clay bar and I could have saved it! Claying is only neccessary maybe once a year if that. Im going to wash mine tonight and throw on another coat of Z2. You take any pics???????

That layer of Zymol needs to come off before the Zaino goes on, but the Dawn/clay will take care of that. Wait till "Z day" to do that. Just so nothing else has a chance to bond. Depending on how deep your flaws (swirls) are will tell you how much Z5 Pro to use. It has some filling properties. You may have to use 2 or more coats of the Z5 Pro to fill in the swirls of they are bad. Have you looked into ZPC? That is more the type of product to use for a fairly decent amount of swirling. If its minor, than Z5 Pro will probably suffice. You could always ZPC or Scratch-X (since its easier to get) any trouble areas. The prep is the hardest part! I havent used a PC before so Ill let someone who has chime in on that.
