White Knuckle sliders

It's been a year since I installed mine, but I recall the instructions said to slightly move the hard lines. I recall one of mine I was able to bend the bracket to get clearance. I think I may have shimmed the other but I don't specifically recall. I know it was a bit of a ***** to install the driver's side.

Yeah, the instructions do mention something about moving the hardlines, I originally just thought it was to get the u-bolt in place. But I see now that maybe they need permanently moved. They seemed to flex for me, but didn't stay bent, so I guess I'll need to get back in there.

Passenger side install = 5 minutes
Driver side install = cursing, blood, more time.

I ended up bending those lines away from the u bolt. I couldn't be happier with these sliders a year later!

Hahahah, EXACTLY. I think I spent over an hour just trying to get the driver's side on. Passenger side was cake.

What did you use to bend the lines? I am trying to figure out a good strategy to do it without kinking or damaging anything.

Also - I talked to John at White Knuckle today - very helpful and he basically recommended bending the lines too, or putting vacuum/brake hose between them.

I just talked to John at White Knuckle today, i am really thinking about pulling the triggger on these sliders.

They are BEEFY, and I really like the look of them. I got mine with no angle and top plates so the kids could still use them as steps. Very functional in daily use, and I am thinking the flat angle probably won't detract a ton on the trail.

To me, flat sliders have more rock clearance then angled sliders. The rear door is the lowest part you need to clear and I welded on my low-angled sliders high enough that a thick layer of mud on top rubs the door.

Yeah, that makes sense in my head, but I don't have a ton of experience wheeling so I am not sure why I might be missing out on otherwise by having them flat and not angled. It should be better for our needs regardless so I'm happy. And they look great too!

Stock, they only come straight out (which I love), but John can customize them. Just give him a call and ask, he's a very nice guy and super helpful.

i have these too - forgot to order them with top plate so i am going to be making a few sections of netting for them so my dog doesnt snap a limb in/out of car

they provided good customer service as people attest to. shipped from Cali to MA in a reasonable time

Are you bashing the floor board with just the end of a screwdriver with a hammer?

Yes. It rubs against the floor. I wedged a screw driver a d just gave it a little space.
