My opinion only.. but I would never put 265/65s back on my rig. Even if I had never lifted it and never cared about the look and never cared to go offroad...I still wouldn't use 265/65 ever again.

Reason why: The speedometer counts too fast which means that the odo probably counts too fast (verified multiple times via GPS) in mine...which means the mileage is racking up faster than actual. That sucks for warranty purposes and for resale value. So, 265/70 would be the default replacement for me even if I was a guy who wanted to stay stock.

I do not want to buy a new spare, so I'm staying stock size. Larger tire, heavier tire, equals less mpg, which is also something I'm not interested in. Also not interested in tire rub that comes with upsizing.

Racking up miles is not a concern, and my warranty expired looong ago.

I've decided to go with the Firestones. Tire shop said it will take a few days to order the tires. I will post pics once I get them installed, hopefully this weekend.

Im going to sell these and move up to a diff brand 265/70's this summer but here ya go...

They are great in snow but im not a fan of them in heavy rain FWIW

AT Tires...

Hey- I had Destination AT's that came on my 2005 runner. I just put Hankook Dynapro ATM's on with ATX series "Assault" wheels and they look GREAT! with the Nautical Blue paint. I will post it tonight. Got the tires at Discount for $159 each and they are 265/70R17. I am installing or trying to get a toytec 3" lift installed this month. I still have the OEM 17" wheels and tires which have 5k miles left on them. They are posted on Craigs list. My research drove me to get the Hankooks over the Destination AT's...hope this helps.

I've got a set of Destination AT's in LT 255/75/17, and I like them. They are a solid all-around tire. While they don't excel in any particular condition, they seem to do pretty good in all conditions, snow included.

I've got about 35k on them and they are holding up well, I bet I can get at least another 25-30k out of them. I rotate all 5 every 10k.

I ended up with the LT-rated tires instead of a P-rated tire because the tire shop screwed up. Although they are heavier and it kills the mpgs a little bit, I guess the extra beefiness is good out on the trail.
