white with black wheels

Well i haven't done anything to my white 2000 4runner, and I think it's time.

I've been thinking about getting black wheels with some bigger tires, but i'd like to see how it looks first.

I'm trying to go with a black and white theme since i have black handles and whatnot.

So if anyone has any pics of a white 3rd gen with black wheels and bigger tires (not crazy big... cause im lookin for something i can use everyday in the city and yet not get stuck in the mud if i were to park in a grassy lot after a rainy day [yeah... that happened to me a few days ago] )

Thats sick! looks great. Those tires dont rub against the wheel wells when you turn? they look like they are so close. could be the camera angle.

99% of the time there are no rubbing issues. If I hit a bump going fast enough when i have the wheel cranked (i.e. when rolling backwards out of the driveway and I crank the wheel to turn) I hear it hit. Very easy to avoid, though. Overall I have got nothing but compliments, and I think it matches the black/chrome of the running boards and my grill.

(just ignore that dent in the corner)

If you don't have a lift the largest you can go tire wise is 265/75/R16.

mike have i ever told you i love your 4runner. I usually dont like the look of the 96-98's but i love the look of yours. Anyways they arent black and white but they're black and brushed aluminum not chrome. sorry my 4runners black and not white but you can imagine i hope.

you can run 275/75/16 its tight but it only rubs if your turned all the way and hit a big bump. p.s. next time you buy tires mike you should get 265/75/16. theyre a lot cheaper cause theyre a more common size and they fit just fine.

Well im thinking about lifting it about 2 or 3 inches. but I dont want it to look like a tonka toy, just a little badass and clean.


And yes my 4runner is 2WD


And i really like the aluminum lip.

What kind of tires do y'all suggest i get if i were to say that i want something with large enough tread so that i dont get flats easily when i run over little metallic objects (happened a few days ago) and would like to be able to get myself out of a wet grassy field, or lot. But nothing that is going to rub on the wheel wells or make alot of noise when I drive.

To be honest, I always get it mixed up. I just went out and checked and they are in fact 265/70R16. D'OH!

el Chuck- I have the Michelin LTX on mine right now and when I'm in 2WD I've gone into a pretty soggy field and tried to get stuck and it just doesn't happen. Mine are also fairly worn. An A/T tire will give you more grip, but will also have more road noise and will not handle as well.

Nope. 265/75's have MUCH more tire selection. I'd stick with 265's. I believe even 275/70/16's have more tire selection than the 275/75's.
